They get tested about every 2-4 weeks while actively on the job. Sex with a porn star is 99.9% safer than sex with a prostitute.

The rapid rate of increased cases per day in NY are quite staggering. And no matter what the reason may be, it's still extremely concerning and here's why. We're doing more tests!- Ok, that's great. But the fact that we're discovering this many new cases at this kind of a rate means that either, it's spreading faster and faster by the minute, or there are SOOO many people out there that have had the virus for so long and didn't know until now. Both reasons still sound an alarm because either we're failing miserably to slow the spread or there are TONS of people roaming around NY and don't know they have the virus, thereby infecting many other people. Not good no matter how you look at it!

The N95 masks work, and along with respirators, they are the most important piece of equipment that is sorely lacking right now.

This is a good reminder that people shouldn't post "facts" in here unless they are sure what they are talking about. Opinions are fine if they're just opinions. Facts aren't fine unless they're true.

I think that most people in Asian usually wear mask to prevent getting others sick. Like if they have a cold or the flu irrc.
I was reading a couple years ago about why so many in Japan wear masks outside. It's mostly due to those wearing them being sick and not wanting to spread it to others, like you said. It's not that they are trying not to get sick; they don't want to infect others. A strange concept, I know - inconveniencing ourselves to protect others.

A secondary reason it is that some wear them specifically if they don't want to be bothered or approached, since people with masks tend to be more unapproachable. Just wearing it sends the message "I don't want to be engaged". Since many wear them anyways due to being ill, those who don't feel like being bothered or don't want to talk to people throw one on, and just blend in with others who are wearing them.

Well Animal Crossing came out on the 20th. I haven’t even watched “regular” TV, let alone movies. Besides eating, pooping, sleeping, and some light web browsing, I spend all my time playing that game. 😅

The pollution in China is terrible. They wore masks when it gets really bad and smoggy. Lot of respiratory problems coming up for the next generation.

These bands just wanted people to have fun and forget all about school, work, or life problems. As such, the songs are just what the doctor ordered now.

We're doing more tests which is great but from what I've heard we're not doing tracing, unless they started up and I'm unaware, so we aren't able to track the virus. Perhaps now it's too late for that, but other countries were doing that weeks ago, helping them isolate what areas have it in their community.

If it's on an exponential curve the doubling time will get shorter.

Hospitals consider universal do-not-resuscitate orders for coronavirus patients

We're at wartime. It's sort of like the beach scene at the beginning of Saving Private Ryan, when the medical commander is telling the medics what to give each wounded patient, and dismissing some of the wounded as being already as good as dead.

It's amazing how quickly the unimaginable becomes imaginable. This is like seeing the news unfold on the morning of the 9/11 attacks, except stretched out to weeks on end.

Might be months.

Though there is this floating around

We won't really know till we've got the anti body tests distributed here.

We have been doubling for few weeks now; each week (7 days), then 6 days, now approximately 5 days. If we keep this trajectory, calculate six weeks from now, then twelve weeks from now. I hope we break this escalating and very alarming pattern.

Everyone can do the math, no need to mention the numbers....extremely scary.

Stay safe, stay home, watch Blu-ray movies.

KTLA 5 News reports:

Four more people, including a minor, have died of COVID-19 in Los Angeles County, officials announced Tuesday. That brings the total of deadly cases of the coronavirus in the county to 11. The L.A. County Department of Public Health only described the child who died as a Lancaster resident who lived in Lancaster. The city of Long Beach reported one of the four new cases on Monday, describing the patient as a woman in her 50s with underlying health issues. L.A. County officials on Tuesday said they were still working to confirm information about the two other patients who died.

Update: Los Angeles County official says that the minor that died is not a small child.
The child was a 17-year old with respiratory problems and was denied testing, but was told to self-quarantine. Apparently, he died from septic shock and was diagnosed with CV post-mortem.

- Cardboard packing box - 24 hours
- retail item, inside with plastic shrink wrap - up to 3 days.
Again, anything that shows up sits in the entryway for 3 days....contents opened, removed, sanitized, packaging discarded, then wash hands.
