Hoping the Hobbit is released in HFR tho!
Going in, I thought the movie would be a lot worse than it was. It's nothing special, but it's not bad enough to ruin your experience. It's worth sitting through it for the stunning picture quality.

Hahaha...no. Contrary to popular belief, the sun does not shine out of John Archer's backside.

"This picture quality is too good."

"I make too much money."

"I'm too healthy."

"My dick is too big."

Things you'll never hear anyone with a brain say.

"Namely that its picture quality is simply too good."

Is there even such a thing?

I don't think it's that weird. In fact it echoes what most film enthusiasts said about The Hobbit and this for years now, that HFR makes the movies look too real and smooth. Most want movies to look like film. Even most digitally shot movies add a grain layer or something.

Also I really felt while watching X-Men Apocalypse on UHD that it looked too good, too clear and smooth. It didn't look like a movie any more, but more like a video game cutscene. I made a thread about it.

Sure, but the author does a poor job of articulating what it is he doesn't like about the image. "Too good" just makes him sound silly. On top of that, his bashing of the movie is annoying and his "guarantee" that every reader will find it "less painful" in 24fps is just objectively false nonsense. Whether or not he has understandable points, it's a garbage article.

Awful choice of words in that article but it does indeed ruin the movie.

Nothing great has ever been achieved by doing as 'most of the population' does

As a introvert, you are preaching to the converted there.

However, just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should.

Oh and most of the population want a peaceful world, pretty sure that's a great thing!

A sloth could want peaceful world. Wanting something and actually getting it done are two different things.
Here we have a few creative directors who want to break the mold, and yet the sheep accuse them of ruining film.
Silent movies were not in 24fps, yet we progressed and evolved from there. Now it is the turn for 24fps to die and RIP.
Can I get an Amen to that?

Not from me you can't. As a fan of Vinyl (before it was trendy) seperates systems for audio, a projector for Blurays etc.. I can hardly be described as a sheep. Quite the opposite. However, sometimes the mainstream/majority are correct. This is one such example. Film is sacred to me and I don't want it ****** with anymore than it already has been.
