Keeping in mind, Iron Man 3 3D is a hybrid conversion: Mix of CGI rendered 3D & 2D to 3D direct conversion.
Also keeping in mind, filmed 3D movies don't always measure up to strong 3D either. See Underworld Awakening's mostly mild filmed 3D, and Oz Great and Powerful 3D included as two examples. Along with The Amazing Spider Man 3D as a third. On the other hand, filmed (native) 3D can shine with titles like Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D, The Great Gatsby 3D, Avatar, Flying Swords of Dragon Gate 3D, Hugo, etc. Same with great direct conversions like TItanic and Jurassic Park, and the more recent hybrid conversion of Pacific Rim 3D. Some conversions are so good, someone has to tell you it's a conversion to tell the difference in most cases. Things have changed since Clash of the Titans' weaker 3D conversion thankfully. |
