Why do they put it on BD-Live (not a big fan of BD-Live i must say)
Why not just put a HD trailer on the Blu Ray itself like all the other trailers that is on it so we really can see how good it looks.
I don't get why they put it on BD-Live

I'm with you there. While I like the idea, BD-Live is still too clunky for my taste so I try not to bother myself with it.

It's also on the Friday the 13th (2009) BD. It looks pretty good. Is there a way to access it once it's downloaded without having to put in said disc? I have a PS3.

Impressive.

I'll probably hold off, in hopes of getting a "comprehensive" set (my ultimate hope is getting both the theatrical and extended cuts for each movie, along with all the previously released bonus materials from all three sets; while I don't necessarily request it, anything new extras would be nice, too). But this just makes my mouth water in anticipation for it...

Oh hell.

After seeing that trailer on BD-Live, I've realized one thing. These films own me. I don't think any force on earth is going to stop me from buying the Theatrical releases. That doesn't say much about my will power, but I don't really care. I cannot wait to see these beauties.

Can you change the title or OP to indicate that this is accessable on all Warner BD-Live discs? It's a bit misleading.

I think the guy who made the comparisons had a crappy DVD or something, because mine don't look anywhere near that bad.

Still, I'll buy.

Agreed. My EE DVDs look much better than those captures.

I wouldn't trust the PQ of that trailer; I'm sure the final product will be stunning, or rather it would be a huge mistake on Warner Brothers part if it wasn't.

given how there is an entire featurette just on the color scheme and manipulation of the 'Fellowship' on the EE - Warner Bros. better not mess with it.

I've got my tix to see the 'The Two Towers' at Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts next month with an accompanied orchestra, projected in HiDef DLP, I can't wait - 'Fellowship' looked amazing last year.

I would give anything to see this again in theaters....crappy ass Jacksonville never does anything eventful like this. In HD DLP no less! Ahhh! I'm utterly envious of you!

not to rub it in... sorry, but tix are still available for this event, and like the upcoming bluray this is the theatrical version of the film, not the extended cut:

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

so LoTR fans in and around the DC/MD/VA area - you're in for a real treat. Because this is a technically a presentation of the score, the film is actually subtitled because the music tends to be quite bombastic with the voice track slightly diminished in level. The projection of the film differs on where you're sitting, inside it's widescreen, on the lawn, because the screens are 1:33 in dimension - I think it's OAR with black borders and below the image - but dont quote me, I stayed in my seat for the entire performance.
