Fox also used Die Hard as a test for remixing catalog titles in Dolby Atmos.

Yes. I saw the remastered DCP three years ago.

I'd buy the Rogue Cut on UHD. Not interested in the theatrical.

Really? To each their own, but I found the Rogue Cut to be inferior to the Theatrical cut.

I definitely thought the scenes in the rogue cut were amazing but the theatrical has better flow

Bunch of other X-men titles being re-released on the same day so it's probably movie cash for Logan.

Apocalypse was the only one of the new movies with a true 4K UHD, right? If that's cheap I might pick it up. Have an empty slot in the Steelbook, anyway.

Both excellent guesses, but alas, neither is the correct answer. So far the $20. is still in play although I’ve already eaten the last of the homemade Christmas cookies . So any future winner will only get a drawing of it from my youngest niece for that part of the promised prize.

Yup, Breathe is actually Andy Serkis' feature debut and not Jungle Book: Origins.

I like some of what the Rogue Cut added but not all. I think theatrical will be my go-to version. Will get the UHD for it and First Class if they go on sale with movie cash, for sure.

Not that it will necessarily have a 4K finish, but your comment reminds me….speaking of Directorial debuts, let’s (esp. those poker players among us) not forget about Aaron Sorkin with Molly’s Game - http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0815070/?ref_=tt_ov_dr , inspired by the Memoir - http://people.com/celebrity/molly-bl...oker-princess/ (not cool to ask someone to “bark like a seal who wants a fish” for a $1,000 chip).

Coincidentally, Molly’s Game having the same DP for a motion picture just recently referred to on this thread, namely Fences.

If I don’t get an opportunity to check in until after Jan. 1st…..Happy New Year to all.

Nope.

But if you ever get down to my southern stomping grounds over the bridge from San Diego, I heartily recommend the Ravioli Alla Lucana at Il Fornaio or if you prefer seafood, the Swordfish Pesto at Peohe’s (which is exquisite) and just a few steps away from Il Fornaio on Coronado Island, which, for those unfamiliar, is also home to Naval Amphibious Base ( https://www.military.com/base-guide/...-base-coronado ), which has been depicted in some movies that you’ve probably seen.

Since some might find the price of the Swordfish Pesto to be a wee bit on the stiff side and it's the season of giving I’ll raise the $ prize payout….

to $25.
That should cover about half the price of the main meal, including tip.

Hi, don't have permission to post new thread. Tried searching for this, can't find a thread. Ad on a TV in Best Buy said BBC Planet Earth 2 UHD released, exclusive to them in March. This will be a game changer. The photography is amazing in 1080. This will be even better.
