Watched NOTLD last night and it seems the worst part of the film is the scene when Barbara is running towards the house and then meets Ben. After the scene when Ben kills the Zombie on the grass it gets better....

Yes that's my thoughts exactly! Only theat bit is over dark. The rest of the film looked good to me. Although that's just my opinion of course.

I'm sure there might be times when different transfers are made... perhaps for technical reasons.

This seems like a different scenario to me. A 20th anniversary transfer made, money spent, and then Sony sits on it for 2 years? IF they decided to not release a Blu-ray for whatever the reason, it seems odd for a company looking to pinch pennies to not sell that transfer to other distributors for 2 years.

Seems like you would sell that one and try to get some money back.

Not a huge thing... but still a mystery that may go unanswered.

I know but that is kind of the point. You paid 35 bucks for a film and your saying things like "the worst part of the film" followed by "it gets better". If your going to pay 35 bucks for a bare bones movie the picture quality should be amazing and exactly as it was theatrically unless otherwise specified. Although I can't be too mad at Twilight Time, I made alot of money from their shoddy release. Guy that bought it didn't even care about the darkening.

Looking forward to Christine though. Don't think they are going to screw that up too badly.

Looks like this is what the DP wanted and the director seems happy so i will go with it and quite happily watch it in this knowledge.

By the way, TT gave him 5 copies to do with as he wishes for his FB "review". How much you wanna bet they end up on his table at the next con?
Pray tell.

Yeah I'm amazed at the complaints on here since it's only in 393 collections -1 I may or may not receive depending on if they actually get returns. So it could go down to 392. Luckily I already have a order number.

If Fright Night didn't go all crazy on ebay this would have taken a couple weeks to sell out. Plus when some ebayers got 8 copies!!!! Where's the real demand. The DVD never sold like hot cakes. Hell Walmart has it for $4. And for $5 you can upgrade to the HDX vudu version.

I'll get the vudu HDX version too, just to have the original color tint and make my own judgement.

Unless you're yanking our chains here, that's weirdly funny.

On a personal note...I am really happy with the discussion we have here. Over 5,000 posts with 467 different members contributing . Everyone, on both sides of the issue, has had their say on this. Can't say the same about other sites where it is either bashing the release or apologizing for it. Please carry on .

Only? That accounts for 13% of the run...and not counting people who doubled up or who come here but don't maintain their collections here!

I don't trust what people put in their collection. I'm sure a lot of people just do it for the hell of it. Mostly non-posters, I'd assume.

Who would do such a thing!!!

My OCD wont allow that lol, i like maintaining my collection on this site. I dont get why people would just randomly add things they dont own to their collection!
