Same. It has a lot to do with the fact I don't even particularly care for this flick all that much, but snagged a copy anyway in a mercifully brief fit of TT Madness. And frankly I see many more days of idle shelf time in my crystal ball.

The blue really killed it for me, and I was a speculator that bought five copies ... still have not gotten around to putting the other four on ebay. I will do it around the time walking dead season five comes out and throw in some 8gb sd cards with the entire digital download of the comic books, bonus comics and who knows what else with a .01 start and no reserve. If I can make anything back I will try.

In the meantime, anyone who does own a copy absolutley needs to take it to their nearest wal-mart electronics department and take advantage of the VuDu disc to digital service. The HDX transfer Vudu has is flawless, beautiful and bright, and just downright AMAZING!. And it only costs two dollars more. in fact I am throwing a two dollar walmart card with each auction as well just so the winner can really enjoy this movie in HD.

Sometimes when I come home stressed from work and cant decide what zombie game I want to play, I just login to vudu and watch NOTLD

Did you think the passage of time was going to make acceptable? I say let the speculators keep their copies, I'll wait for a proper version to get released.

We have this remake showing on UK Netflix (the artwork would appear to be the same as the custom artwork shown earlier on this thread), and I cannot see any evidence of blue filtering whatsoever. In fact, the image looks terrific all round...

I would gladly pay for this transfer

The Netflix version doesn't have the tampered with transfer.

I doubt it. Yeah they're re-releasing Fright Night, Christine, Mysterious Island, and Journey to the Center of the Earth, but for them to get this one right they'd need to actually remaster it, or at least alter the colortiming and I just dont see that happening, not from Twilight Time. Especially after all the bad publicity surrounding their first release.

So since this Blu-Ray edition is shit, how's the audio and picture quality on the DVD version???

http://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B00000K3TO/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1412647826&sr=8-2&pi=SY200_QL40

Should I grab it for $8.00 or is it as shitty quality as this Blu-Ray version appears to be??

I've never seen this remake so I'm unsure...

It's a travesty how this Blu Ray turned out. I love this movie - granted, not as much as the original, but I still have a candle for this version. I was hoping the BR wouldn't disappoint, but by god the blue-tint just drowns whatever effect of horror this movie could have had...

and yet...I still really want to own it? Sounds crazy, I know. I hope we get another release, or the Twilight Time version gets re-released because I need a copy of this.

I know what you mean. Id love to own a new release thats looks more natural someday....but even though Id hate the blue tint I still wanna get my hands on the TT version. Probably because its so rare and limited.

Its like a freak blu ray.

@confusedcrystal I totally get you, it's just the desire to own it haha

I'm all for bidding but I'm also cautious when it comes to spending a lump sum of cash on a BluRay that doesn't look all that great. I want it, but maybe not £60-want it

It's only $7.88 on VUDU for the HDX, guess it's worth that, right?
