They did offer to give full refunds after the release, iirc. Maybe you missed that.

Personally I prefer the non-cartoon looking TT version over the older Afternoon Of The Living Dead version.

If TT can get the original transfer from Sony, I predict they will reup their licensing deal and print 5,000 copies.

*Of course wouldn't happen
And this is probably one big reason why they have clearly said over and over again that they will not revisit NOTLD. Can you imagine if they were to reissue it with the correct color-timing, everyone who bought the first edition would hound them demanding a discount or exchange, causing even a bigger hellstorm than last time. Better just to leave the film to someone else.

Guessing that ship has sailed. The people really PO'd about the color timing could've gotten their refunds way back when. The only people who would be sad about a new disc with the non-blue color timing would be the numerous scalpers out there that gobbled it up at the time and are still trying to sell their sealed copies on Ebay or Amazon.

I'll say it now...if there is a disc with non blue tint I have little doubt that Twilight Time will release it. If a disc comes out with the same transfer it'll be from Mill Creek or even "gasp" Sony themselves.

If TT does rerelease this with the original color timing, I hope they make the cover art blue just for shits and giggles.

Agreed. If TT can't get the original transfer from Sony, I see this being a Mill Creek budget release.

They've walked away from a future release from this title. Its a lose/lose for them in terms of public and fan perception no matter how it plays out.

Netflix UK have done an amazing job with this! The quality is amazing, I really wish we could get this edition on Blu Ray!

Anyone here have Encore? Looks like they're playing NOTLD 90' this month, and they're using the blueberry transfer!

Damn...it really does look like shit. Not only it is overly blue, but it's ridiculously dark.

That's odd because the film has come on other HD channels and it wasn't that version. I think even Sony Movie Channel had it on before and it wasn't like that. Weird.

The blue hue does look odd especially when they're inside the house and incandescent lights are on in the room.

No mistaking it. It's definitely the shitty TT transfer.

Oh I know it was. It happened to be on one of the Encore channels at the same time as your post and I turned it on and saw it for myself. It just struck me as odd that it is suddenly being used.

I watched this transfer for the first time yesterday. I have the old DVD but haven't seen it in years so I didn't find the blue timing to be too objectionable, but holy hell is it dark.

LOVE the film though. Even without a lot of gore it's still incredibly compelling and I dig how it pays tribute to the original whilst updating it at the same time, and I think Patty Tallman's gorgeous so that helps too.

I've never even seen this remake. Is it available overseas anywhere? Don't want to pay $50+ for a blind buy, obviously.

Nope. Sadly there is no international alternative to the TT BD. It's a good remake though, I really like how they make Barbara a bit more of a strong and proactive character, rather than having her just kind of sit there doing nothing, once Ben enters the story, like in the original.
