Does anyone that has an E6 in here ever use the TV speakers? If so, have you experimented with the different sound modes (standard, sports, etc) of turning 3D sound on?

I tried the speakers for a few and then switched back to my HT sound set-up. To me nothing out of the ordinary but I probably need to spend more time with the TVs sound as reviews have noted that the base speakers sound nice. So on a quick peek, I didn't notice anything our of the ordinary.

The EF9500 and C6 are oceans apart. Not only does the C6 offers HDR and Dolby Vision, but the 3D quality is also far superior, and I absolutely love its WebOs3 for streaming!

Got you I just saw web 2.0 got free firmware upgrade to 3.0

3.0 offers such smooth streaming even on those channels that usually would give me a lot of issues

I'm still experimenting with my new E6 and have not tried any HDR10 or Dolby Vision content yet. Where do I find this content? Also, when watching this content, what picture mode does the TV play these in? I currently use the ISF modes for everything.

Guess I probably should've posted this in the owners thread.

Marco Polo on Netflix is in Dolby Vision.
For HDR10 you have to use 4K discs.
The TV will detect either DV or HDR and automatically switch to either pre-setted picture mode...Similar to what the TV does when it detects 3D content

Just curious if the contrast issues were reality or conjecture if set above 80?

That is a good read for setting contrast. In reality there should be no above white content on any mastered 8 bit source. Setting for reference white gives you the full dynamic range capability of your display.

Yes they do. They aren't free though and you need to use the built in tv app on 2016 vizio and LG tvs.

So you are suggesting contrast level in ISF mode close to that in HDR mode?
Also, with all due respect to rtings.com, Steve of AVForums suggested contrast at 80 in ISF mode...Is he less of an expert than rtings.com?

Steve is a reviewer like any other. I don't see him as the end all god of knowledge on OLED displays. I don't see him as any more of an expert than any other reviewer or calibrator. He also complained about OLED brightness with HDR and yet didn't attempt HDR bright room which bumps you up 100 nits.

Chad B over on AVS forum has calibrated several OLED's and recommends setting OLED light to 100 and lowering contrast instead. By setting OLED light at 100, ABL is very minimal compared having a lower OLED light and higher contrast setting.

All jokes aside, I tried Oled Light 100 and Contrast 55 and did not like the results, I rather have Oled Light at 65 and Contrast at 80. I think the ABL issues are overestimated...I dont even like hockey

Not conjecture. Floating blacks is one such anomaly that is made worse when increasing contrast above 80. See this post for more details:
