Yes, thank you to all the Blu-ray.com insiders. You kept my hopes up and then delivered.

+1 on the audio, but there is absolutely no need to shun VC-1 if the masters aren't pre-filtered and the bitrate is high enough.

As for Paramount, forget about them for a while, they'll be back eventually...
Thank you Max, kiss your girlfriend for us!

Cheers from France!

Max, Penton, Paid, etc..

It would be nice if after the war is over, you guys can come in here and let us know who you are in real life.

In the meantime, enjoy the moment. You've definitely earned it.

Max running down Hollywood Blvd. would have been a neat trick since he is in the UK.

Here is my requiem on Amir:

His career at Microsoft has been a total failure! From the marginalization of Windows Media Player, to his philosophy of good enough HD-DVD. With the countless tens thousands of hours he spent twisting facts with this posts on multiple forums and slandering Blu-ray insiders, all that's left of his career is meaningless rhetoric. Several months ago Microsoft saw the futility of his efforts and "retired" him. He may be a talented engineer and if he stuck to the facts without trying to twist them and slander people he still would have been respected.

yeah, real shame we don't have community viewing (wonder how long those severs will be up for HP 5). I would have been honored if we watched it off your HT and got it paused everytime you had to pee.

To the insiders, if you can care to comment on my analysis of 1/2/08.

I have to say I thought I would see childish gloating as I read this thread through. I saw some, but overall, you folks are handling victory as adults do, with restraint. Congratulations on your new recruit, me.

I lost a war, perhaps I gained a unified format.

Welcome to the Blu side.
You will see some gloating but most have been good about it.
