Anyhoo, the Maestro did great work in the Prequels, I don't think his work was served well by Lucas futzing with things again and again and tracking his music because of Lucas constantly re-editing, Williams never had a locked print to score to. Still, great work. Sometimes you have to start the applause.

The conductor should not have only given due credit to Carl Stalling, but also to
Raymond Scott. Scott's music was purchased by Warner Bros.

Spot on. As someone who grew up with the prequels, this annoys me to no end. I cherish those movies, in the same way that OT purists cherish the OT. The prequels are, and always will be, a part of Star Wars. Enough with the bashing; it's been over 12 years! There will be no shortage of new Star Wars movies in the near future. Let those of us who enjoy the prequels, to do so in peace.

I have lots of films that people would consider "bad" in my collection and I completely admit that. I own Superman 3 and 4. Jaws 3 and 4. I love em. But I'm also aware that they're bad movies. I OWN UP TO IT. Yet I love them anyway.

So I'd have no problems discussing the prequels if people would look at them for what they are. You can say that it's "just my opinion" but, Hell, doesn't that mean that we shouldn't look at The Godfather or Casablanca as classics?

Well, considering he only directed one of them, how about the other 2? And, just perhaps...people would like to watch the movies as they were originally released and stood for 20 years. Again, if you don't understand that, you're being purposefully naive and blind.

Or maybe people just like the prequels because they feel they really arent all that bad? Phantom Menace is the most problematic but Revenge of the Sith is downright good and most people think so.

As you know its subjective. Hard to quantify good vs bad when discussing film or any art form.

Bonus features. That's it. Had they not included those documentaries and deleted scenes, I never would have bought it. And, I might add, I bought it used because I refused to give them the sale.

Yeah I didn't buy the Complete Saga until I found a used copy of the Vader box for $30. Love the Prequels and the BDs for that are mostly good, but the OT BDs are problematic. I don't even think the new bonuses in the Complete Saga are all that great, but for $30 I'm not gonna complain. Nothing beats Empire of Dreams.

If you bought it used you're not denying them a sale, you're just reimbursing the original buyer who gave them one. They still got payed for your copy.

How do you know the copy I got wasn't a promo and the person who sold it never paid for it in the first place. . Regardless, I didn't pay the money to Lucasfilm and that's the bottom line.

Count me in too. People are far too precious about the OT, and Jedi is pretty terrible on the whole. I was bitterly disappointed with it when I was 12, on original release, and it's only gone up in my estimation because the payoff at the end is greater when it's watched as an end to the entire 6 film cycle.
