There's a half hour and an hour in HD on Retro Action and IIRC The Prisoner 50th Anniversary set adds a new 1 hour episode but repeats A View From the Villa from Retro Action as it has the Portmeirion location |

Thanks to my email software not displaying images in messages for security reasons, I was briefly excited about this latest pre-order (though admittedly I only actually read the words New Captain Scarlet soundtrack before clicking the link):
http://networkonair.com/coming-soon/...ack-pre-order- CD only and New Captain Scarlet. Oh well. Guess the "not for profit" (yeah right...) Fanderson aren't about to give up their licensing rights any time soon. ![]() |

Many also have releases from profit making companies too including Captain Scarlet which had a single cd rather than the three discs in the Fanderson set. It's thanks to Fandersons non profit basis that they can release multi disc sets that the big boys don't seem to think are worth the bother. Fanderson releasing cd sets does not make any difference to any other company. Once their limited number (usually 1000) is sold that's it. They don't have a licence in the normal way which is why they are restricted to supplying members only |

I'm not into the mini albums either. Rejoining last year was purely to get the soundtracks for Joe 90 and Journey to the Far Side of the Sun. However due to personnel changes at Universal the latter has been delayed which meant I had to renew again. To be fair, their cd releases sell on ebay usually for at least double their initial cost so the membership fee and even the cost of the sets can be covered by getting a few extra copies and reselling them. They usually restrict you to 2 copies but I've had 3 of the Space 1999 Year One soundtracks and both the spares went for around £80. The magazine is well done but after nearly 40 years they are running out of ways to say the same stuff all over again and unfortunately despite it having no input at all from Gerry Anderson they are filling pages with guff on that new CGI rubbish. All the cd's listed on their site at the moment will be gone by the end of the year (maybe not Joe 90) so snap them up now, buy an extra copy and cover all your costs or go in with a friend and share costs. It has to be said that the merchandise they sell is always superb quality. The cd soundtracks always come with a glossy colour booklet and to label them as "fanclub" merchandise seriously undersells them and they surpass the "professional" releases by a mile |

Great news about Death Line...the BU release is far too expensive.
Who Killed Teddybear? is a nice surprise too, I love that film! I know I've seen Assault but I can't remember anything about it, gonna have to give it a rewatch sometime this week. Haven't seen Miss Leslie's Dolls but it sounds great, will blind buy that one. Last edited by Gerby; 04-18-2018 at 09:31 AM. |

I have the BU Death Line which certainly looks like the superior release but a very interesting set of announcements, will grab Assault on release and probably wait for a sale for the other two. I just hope an upgrade of The Uncanny isn't too far away, and maybe they can licence Twisted Nerve, Fright and And Soon the Darkness from Studio Canal (if the latter don't plan on doing anything with them).

Just re-watched Sidney Hayer's Assault, the only thing i could remember about it was the girl being attacked at the beginning. I enjoyed it a lot, will definitely buy the blu ray.
Seen as how Network also released Sidney Hayer's Revenge (1971) on blu ray, i would love to see his films which i also like a lot Deadly Strangers (1975) & Diagnosis: Murder (1975) get blu ray releases at some point too. |

Typical they announce Deathline less than a month after I get the BU version. While Network predominantly release tv material , the deals they have in place with ITV and Studio Canal give them access to movies the owner isn't interested in releasing themselves, hence Network discs for the Hammer films owned by ITV. Studio Canal own hundreds if not thousands of classic old British movies from the 70's back to the 30's and Network have released several hundred of them, mostly on dvd. The list of films owned by these companies does pop up the occasional surprise. |

The glorious political incorrectness of Twisted Nerve would be a great Blu although they did release the dvd in 4:3 |

Death Line, Assault and Teddy Bear are listed as being £9.75 ppd on the Network website, though infuriatingly it looks like they'll be following the standard Network practice of the releases not going live on their site until the day of release.
