Awesome. I currently have the Harry Potter boxset and Superbad pre-ordered. I am glad Warner is finally giving us some goodies on HP that HD-DVD doesn't get. They are taking advantage of Blu-Rays size advantage with extras, and hopefully the LPCM audio will be as outstanding as I'm hoping.

Where did you pre-order Simpsons and Rush Hour, and were the prices sweet?

The BDA seem to be 6 months behind the game, by the time they get their act in order it's going to be too late.
You have no idea what you are talking about.

It is kind of sad really.
If the BDA had their act together and the players that are on sale this weekend were actually upgradable or 1.1 they might sell one tenth as well as Toshiba's hd players.
But wait, another movie sale.... yay... that will teach hd...
All I can say is that if there are any movies out that you want, buy them today or have to deal with legendary amounts of crap everywhere you turn from hd backers.

I hope they have something up their sleeves, no big thing that was good has happened since Fox and MGM finally said they were getting back in the game. Not counting our victory in sales every week.

^Thank you. Finally something not doom and gloom. Either we are being bombarded by trolls or there are some people on here who's mommies didn't hug them enough.
Run Ricky run.
64/36 blu wins again.

And the odds changed on Axelmusic. Last month it was HD DVD, but now month and week BR is the clear winner!

Axelmusic.com
BLU-RAY HD-DVD
Weekly 57.9% 42.1%
Monthly 50.8% 49.2%
Yearly 47.0% 53.0%

Releases 537 454

Axelmusic.dk
BLU-RAY HD-DVD
Ugentligt 91% 9%
Totalt 75% 25%

Titler 225 136

Amazon.de is still 61/39

europe has no offers at the moment, so sales are as normal, though the giveaways over in the us will have the euro HDDVD buyers buying from amazon, so the us gets a lot of the euro sales too, skewing both

I think it was a good last week with the BOGO sales, but I'm being more conservative since the last week nielsen's results... On thing is sure, the amazon chart does not reflect the nielsen numbers!

My guess:

This week: 67-33 Blu
Next week: 52-48 Blu

Volume of sales have not been that high. So, no movement in YTD or SI numbers.

59 BD:41 HD DVD. No reason, just feeling a little pessimistic this week.

Will be about 6 hours before the report comes out, assuming that the holiday has not delayed reporting.
