They said the Blu-ray is a possibility. Everywhere else I have read this only confirms DVD.

It would make sense for them to work on a BD the same time as the DVD.

There is a Monster Squad BD coming, so they might be released at the same time.

This is AWESOME!!!!!! Been waiting for a good release ever since I first saw it on TV back in the 80´s. A Blu-ray would be so amazing. I feel like a litle kid on Christmas right now.

And we get BOTH versions of the film!!!!

YES!!! It is about time they release it on DVD. Hopefully they pack it full of special features! I prefer blu ray of course, hearing it on DVD for the first time is a treat for me.

I just got a newsletter from Sony and they said there is a Blu-Ray of Night of the Creeps coming!

The Directors Cut as well.

Halloween! 20th October release date

Could you post a screenshot, please?

From what I heard they canceled the blu-ray and it was going to be DVD only. I pray that they do release it on blu-ray because this is one of my favorite movies.

No link because I cant attach it from my email but I received an email from Sony today that at Comicon Fred Dekker will be signing autographs and that he will be promoting both dvd and blu ray release.

I got the same email. It's about Sony at Comic Con. It says:

"Signing with celebrated filmmaker Fred Dekker, writer/director of cult classic NIGHT OF THE CREEPS, arriving on Blu-Ray and DVD for the first time this Halloween."

Further down in the email, it has a list of Sony releases later this year, and it says "Night Of The Creeps - Coming to Blu-Ray and DVD October 20th."

So that confirms it.

I was thinking on getting this, but noticed that it was the Dir Cut only, I remember seeing the theatrical version on cable back in the day and enjoyed it!

Which cut is better?

SHOULD I BUY THAT BLU-RAY?

actually I much preferred this director's cut--- and it's all due to the ending. The cheesy last minute "shock" in the theatrical cut is gone which is a good thing.
Also it has the scene with Tom Atkins walking down the street

This is well worth getting!

Tom Atkins is one of the greatest "cult actors" out there, mostly in horror films, but other stuff as well, like "Striking Distance" w/ Bruce Willis.

I'm gonna pick these three up tommorrow at B&N as part of their buy two get one free sale (all are tagged 12.99)
