That’s miles better....why didn’t they just use that? The idiotic thing about the cover they did use is that it looks like a picture of a window, not a door!
Anyway, I thought it was very poor for a Fritz Lang flick. Whenever movies feature a doctor explaining the behaviour of a killer with long-winded psychobabble, you know the screenplay isn’t up to much. |

All four noirs originally released in the Arrow noir box set have reversible art. They are reusing the same artwork for all four, so if you want to see the original poster art for any of them, you can just flip it over. Additionally, all supplements from the four titles should port to the individual releases (details on them here: https://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=21946).

Well......of his noir output I'd put Ministry of Fear and The Big Heat on the top shelf, and the rest being good rather than great. M is a critics classic, but I didn't like much it at all - very disappointing I thought considering its reputation.

I think the Arrow version is region free and the picture and sound quality is perfect.

I just watched it and was impressed. It was included on the German Blu-ray for "Miracle Mile" (same director), but it is not included on U.S. or U.K version. It is a great looking 35 minute B/W student film from 1972 with a cool cast including Timothy Carey, Edie Adams, Michael Gwynne, Reni Santoni and Kate Murtagh (Switchblade Sisters) and other cult actors. Eddie Muller once raved about it and it's hard to believe they allowed a kid in his early 20's to make it. Check it out if you can find it.

Our resident Kino Insider has just announced that Kino has a new licensing deal with Universal, and there will be some noir titles included with that. So let the guessing begin!

Phantom Lady and Criss Cross are obvious titles one would expect first, so those I imagine

Would also love The Big Clock. Long speculated to be with Criterion, but nothing materialized so far, so a BD from Kino would be most welcomed.
