****ing Amazon...

People need to wake up and stop dealing with those clowns. The honeymoon is over. I shudder to think what they'll be like in five years.

Still making Billions & Billions, more than likely.

Oh and Goldeneye will still look terrible.
This is still killing me considering it is one of my favorite Bond movies ever. It looks like an upscaled DVD.

Got Bond 50 including Skyfall for $99 a while ago so I guess I will have to wait for a better set with better transfers.

They have the best customer service I've ever experienced in my life and make buying damn near any movie at any time super easy. You want me to sympathize with Fox... why?

It appears the Amazon and Fox are in a money dispute, that's why the releases have been pulled. The rest of the Bond films are listed on other sites and will be released on September 15th

I understand money disputes, but I've never heard of any of the other retailer's pulling a studio's items due to that, and frankly I think Amazon should continue to sell Fox items as they work out a deal for the consumer's sake with "good faith" negotiations (plus given similar freezes were done with Disney and WB in the past, I don't think Fox is the problem).

Then I get frequent lost shipments with Amazon (understand that always happens sometimes and it is the shipper who loses it, but it happens well over 10% of the time I order with Amazon, which has to be more than it should and suggests they pick poor delivery services), and while in all be one case a single email got me a free replacement, it is still a headache. Or there are plenty of stories about Amazon treating their employees badly.

I certainly like a lot of things about Amazon and use them for some deals and they are often necessary for older or niche releases, but stuff like this does tick me off, and in general I look to B&M stores of Best Buy and Target first.

What's interesting to me is that it seems that the other sites have "The James Bond Collection" and Amazon has "The Ultimate James Bond Collection." It is available on Amazon when I checked this morning but at the inflated price of $299! Obviously the dispute led to Amazon jacking up the price. That is unfortunate. Here are the links the "James Bond Collection" which IMO has the better artwork and much much more reasonable when it comes to the price:

Best Buy:

I wouldn't buy either, to be honest.

I've been a James Bond fan, since I was a young kid. But, I don't see the point in buying a new set of DVD or Blu ray's of the movies, every time they get repackaged. Especially, when the artwork for them, totally sucks!

If any one interested foxconnect.com is the place to order this set with 30% off coupon. You can get the coupon by clicking on "Join the Club" link on top right corner which asks just for the email. You get unique code emailed.

I ordered all 6 Star Wars steelbooks just now. Bond set comes down to $90.99. Free shipping and no tax to VA.

I know this isn't part of the set, but I got Never Say Never again brand new the other day at a college Barnes and Noble for $4.99.

I found this image today:

Only 23 discs. Seems like this will be missing both the booklet and extra disc from the "Ultimate" collection.

That's fine with me. I never watch special features, anyway, and for $4/movie, I can't complain. I'm just happy it's using amaray cases instead of sleeves.

EDIT: Actually, I just took another look at the promo shot of the "Ultimate" collection and there's only 23 discs on that one, too. So it's still a toss-up whether this will include "Everything or Nothing".

Boomerang Thailand has that up for pre-order and it comes with the Everything or Nothing bonus documentary disc.

So is the Amazon exclusive gonna have a different outer box than this white one?

I know they keep posting pictures of the black gun barrel box for the Amazon exclusive, but is the box black the final design? I prefer the white box, it looks much nicer, at least to me it does. You would think the exclusive edition would have the better box art, but it definitely isn't the case with this mediocre looking one.

It's only showing the discs for the 23 movies but assuming each plastic case holds the same amount of discs, it would make sense for the set to include 24 discs including the EON disc.

FFS They should've waited until Craig retired to do another Ultimate box set.

Does this set also come with the digital HD codes and were those exclusive to Amazon
