They'll probably do an updated Craig-only BD set and a 25-film set at the same time. There's no need for MGM to change anything up on the Connery Vol. 1&2, Moore Vol. 1&2, or Dalton sets, nor Lazenby's OHMSS.

It'll be one set and whatever else they do with actor-centric releases and/or individuals. The only reason the BDs were staggered is cuz MGM fell into financial woes and literally didn't have money to release the rest of the movies after that initial wave. I don't think that'll happen again, or at least I hope not.

Doesn't FOX actually RELEASE them though, i mean i see "FOX" this and "FOX CONNECT" that all over the boxes, so how will that work since FOX is no Disney?

Ah yeah, good point. The Disney thing hadn't even occurred to me. And IIRC the franchise rights are still up for bids, so they could go to another studio altogether.

4k releases for all of these films? I bought the big set and it costed like 90 bucks I think it was. I can't see myself dishing out the kind of money it would cost to buy all of these movies in 4k. Maybe some of the movies that I find the transfers less than desirable (Goldeneye), but not all.

I hope it a set gets released for whomever wants them though.

Damn, RIP. On a sheer whim recently I watched Octopussy after years and enjoyed it more than I expected to. Still bottom-tier Bond but I probably wouldn't call it my least favorite anymore, meaning DAF now holds that dubious honor.

I don’t see why that couldn’t be achieved with the sfx of the time, considering the Bond films could never be that explicit. Having her drop into a piranha pool makes for a more outlandish death and that’s why they probably changed it, if the German article was right.

I’d like to know who’s done the masters for these. Lowry only gave Dr. No to The Man With the Golden Gun a 4K scan to begin with. So who’s done the other older ones. We know The Spy Who Loved Me and For Your Eyes Only had theatrical re-runs when Roger Moore died, so we knew they existed in 4K. Spectre was already in 4K.

Are these remaining 12 Bond titles truly 4K. Or are they just larger HD files (closer to actual Blu-ray quality), that are being simply listed as 4K.

What's wrong with the BD transfer of Goldeneye? I bought the big box, but haven't had time to watch it yet.

Off the top of my head, Skyfall is also a 4K finish but the first two Craigs were finished at 2K. Not sure about any of the others. Mainly concerned about Goldeneye getting treated properly.

Very old transfer, which predates all the Lowry transfers by a number of years. It's also very flat. That said, it's still better than Lowry's severely cropped master for the film used for DVD.

I got the White Box edition for Christmas.

Is there a difference between that and the Black Box? Are there bonus features on both sets or just the Black Box?

The White box doesn’t have the poster book(which I have separately anyway), the bonus disc and the digital copies. The discs are identical and the white box is a great set for the price.

I got it for Christmas last year. Enjoy

Okay. So it comes with the 120 hours of bonus features, but doesn't include the bonus disc which has the Everything or Nothing documentary?
