The dullest thing about NSNA was that wallpaper "jazz" score from Legrand. Awful in so many ways.

That’s not Lois Maxwell’s daughter, that’s Francoise Gayat who is credited and plays the character introduced as Lady Victoria Devon.

Just check the comments on that page. They call him out for the error and he admits he doesn't know which Drax girl was played by Maxwell.

Also, someone should explain to that guy that when an actor has a considerable speaking part and is listed in the opening credits, that's not called a "cameo". It's called a role.

He also misidentifies Maud Adams in A View To A Kill. She is not that eccentric looking woman on the cable car, she can in fact be seen walking on Fisherman’s Wharf behind Bond and Chuck Lee.

GUYS:

Thanks for the help, but I had the same results as you guys. I can't find a photo of Melinda Maxwell anywhere---which is odd considering her mother was a Bond movie regular.
I think I have to watch the movie commentaries to see if Roger Moore or someone points her out in a particular scene.

Glasses? LOL, if you notice the DVD is from a German source which is PAL, technically a "video" format. Blu ray should be 2k scans of the original film elements and colors should look a lot different to the remastered DVD. The entire color palette is exactly the same on the Living Daylights. I'm talking about the color palette and not the detail.

Take a look at the difference between this shot in Goldfinger. The reds are more natural on the blu ray as are the skin tones. The reds on the DVD veer towards amber as they would on a PAL video source.

Check the reds here on The Living daylights. Exactly the same.

Personally I believe The Spy Who Loved Me is the best looking one from the entire set. After Lowry messed up the DVD another company did the transfer for Blu Ray with no tinkering whatsoever to the grain retention. Nothing frozen, pure film like.

I hated it when I first saw it but I now find it one of the more enjoyable elements of the film although only in patches.
I may even get a soundtrack album if one is available

Silva released the complete score on CD back in 1993. Unlike most of their titles, this was the original score, not a re-recording. It even had cues not used in the film, and a nice booklet. I've no idea what it goes for today.

£74.99 for the OOP cd or £7.99 for an MP3 download? Mmmm. Decisions.

The score is available on Itunes US for I think like 9 or 10 bucks. It's the only Bond soundtrack I don't have a hard copy of.

Does anybody know what music is used in the trailer for Never Say Never Again? I'm just really curious about it. It does not appear on the NSNA soundtrack as far as I know...

Bit annoyed really. Went for the download but my favourite bit of the entire score which is the extended trumpet piece right at the end is not included. The end music ends exactly the same way as it does on the opening theme version.

I got the NEVER SAY NEVER soundtrack about two months ago after waiting in vain for someone to release a complete, remastered version (the cd soundtrack doesn't include Herb Alpert's trumpet solo). I've read that some people hated the audio quality, but it sound fairly good to me.
I paid $6.73 on ebay with free shipping.

I still need the CD myself. Good score on finding a copy that cheap. The title song grew on me, and the best bits in the film is the lovely piano motif that repeats throughout and highlight this Bond's advancing years.

I just want the darn EON documentary. I have the Bond 50 set and still feel a bit cheated on how they did the slimmed down shelf friendly repackaging and kept that documentary exclusive to it.

I agree that those piano cues are some of the best tracks composed for the film. They are on the soundtrack but very short. Dinner with 007 runs 1:07 and Bond Returns Home runs 0:25.

I actually bought the extra disc that has the EON documentary on it separately from a 3rd party seller, something I almost never do. I paid 20 bucks for it but I thought it was worth it. The original extra disc that came with the Bond 50 set was beyond pathetic.

It's not cheap but I haven't seen it anywhere else lately. I've bought a few things from this guy. Good service.

And the producer spent most of his time in court fighting Eon.
As I said earlier, without Connery the film would not have even begun production , but the director says Connerys presence was the one thing that ensured the film actually got completed as it lost its way all through the production with writers, producers and directors all uncertain whether it should be an action film or a more traditional spy movie.

No wonder the end result is an uninspiring couple of hours
I'm curious as to what you thought of Barbara Carrera. I found her to be one of the film's strong points and I'd place her above average in the realm of Bond girls.

The Eon documentary is available on dvd but my Bluray copy is from ITV who ran it completely uncut but with speeded up end credits on their second screening.
Seemed a better option than the dvd. I did consider buying the Amazon exclusive set and making a copy of the documentary before the ITV broadcast.

However, that link to Bluraysforeveryone was handy and I'm biting the bullet and paying £27 for it
