This new master is LOVELY. Really, really beautiful. I can only hope it comes to disc though, because the audio quality on the Apple stream was terrible. Goldeneye has that unique-ish electronic soundtrack with thick bass and lots of dynamic moments and it was just super flat on the stream. When I put the BD in to compare afterward the sound quality was GREATLY enhanced. It was no contest.

Video did look solid though I must say. More like a Blu-ray and not a 4k presentation, but it was a solid looking Blu-ray if you get my drift. I'm sure an actual 4k disc would blow it away but comparing it to the old processed looking master we have on disc now it was a nice improvement. No obvious compression issues really like the audio, though the grain obviously got a little noisy here and there.

Still that sound quality... woof. Just horrible.

I also believe A View To A Kill is fixed too. It does not look zoomed in any longer and the tremor is back to it's full glory.

Saw some snippets on the making of the new Bond movie. A young girl runnig on frozen ice, chased by a masked man.

Vey unusual to see a young child in a Bond movie. I believe the last time or only time you see children in a Bond movie was in Diamonds Ae Forever and The Man With The Golden Gun.

I know she doesn't actually appear outside of a database photo and isn't technically a child, but THE LIVING DAYLIGHT's reference to KGB assassin Natasha Zarki's method of child impersonation, complete with exploding teddy bears, sounded intriguing; was rather hoping she'd make an appearance.

No. When they load the gold into the car and take that guy to airport from the stud farm. Well the stud farm is in KY and when they are driving around you can see coconut palms. So they had to be driving around Miami.

They must’ve shot the plates when they were shooting the Miami footage from the beginning, IIRC the actors never actually shot any portion of the movie in the US.

I liked Tania Mallet in Goldfinger. I wish they'd have let her character live and teamed her with Bond instead of Pushy Galore, who should've stayed a villain.

Yes those shots were filmed in Miami. That’s the only US location they filmed in (other than some aerial shots of the real Fort Knox). Cec Linder was the only main cast member to actually film there. They picked a KFC to show Felix Leiter and his partner eating at to make it seem like they were in Kentucky.
