Why do you hate laserdisc???

I'm sticking with Bond 50, Skyfall, and Spectre. No way am I taking a $300 punch to the gut for one bonus disc and a weak book. Or $200. Or $150. Or whatever it ends up being.

Because they feel an impulse to own everything, even if it makes little value sense.

I get it on some level. I look at those pics and the book looks cool and the steelbook covers look sexy. I then tell myself "no way is it worth it" but some obviously struggle with that and feel like studios are "forcing" them to pay up again.

I've got the full size Bond poster book anyway, it's not outstanding but it's better seeing those posters in an A3 sized tome than the piddly little reproduction in that set.

When I got the Bond 50 set, the first thing I did was to watch the stuff on the Bonus Disc.

It turns out that all of those featurettes and more were originally uploaded to YouTube by MGM anyway.

With all that's been written and said about the series, I seriously doubt that the documentary has anything new to offer, unless it actually sheds light on disputes, disagreements, near-disasters, etc. Otherwise, it'll just be 90 minutes of people talking about how awesome it was to be a part of Bond.

If the price drops considerable I might actually double dip now that it is confirmed that there will be digital copies.

If you have Netflix, you can already stream the EON documentary. It's not definitive, but it's pretty good as a retrospective. I'd watch it again.

Someone had uploaded it onto YouTube in multiple parts. Quality is crap, but beggars can't be choosers

I want real dirt, though. I already know that working on a Bond movie is everyone's dream. I want to know what went wrong behind the scenes, along the lines of the stuff on the Never Say Never Again disc.

I wonder if the Pierce Brosnan set will just be a repackage of the old set, or if it will include Tomorrow Never Dies. I'm also wondering how they'll split up the Roger Moore movies. Or maybe they'll both be 3 movie sets.

The documentary does discuss Connery's falling out with "Cubby" Brocolli, but not much else in terms of dirt, so I see your point. Barbara Brocolli even tried to claim that Octopussy clearly beat out Never Say Never Again, when they made pretty much the same worldwide. I still enjoyed it overall, but my wife and I didn't like Barbara Brocolli's big ego about everything.

Wouldn't surprise me if it does have a spot. In fact, I bet we can expect to get a new box set every time a new movie is being released from this point forward. I'm good with my 50 years set though as I knew what was going to happen. I'll just wait until 2062 when they release "50 Years of Bond Volume 2" on BD. If I'm still alive by then, that is.

Yup, I can't stand listening to either her or Michael Wilson anymore. They always say the same boring things.

Lol!

Be strong! (But God help me if they ever release Digibooks of these Bond films. That would be hard for me to pass up, especially for the first 6 films.)

Yep, although Geoff D posted (somewhere) a list of 4K DCP's available for the Bond films, which I think was all of them. So I'm happy to wait for a complete Bond 4K UHDBD set to dip again. Except for the steel books, I can't wait

This is what I am wondering as well. I already own the (now-old) Connery and Craig sets. I would buy the new Brosnon set if it includes all four films. The reason that I never bought the current Brosnon set is because it isn't complete.

The Pierce Brosnan set contains all four of his James Bond movies including Tomorrow Never Dies. As far as the Roger Moore sets, volume one contains three movies (Live and Let Die, The Man with the Golden Gun and The Spy Who Loved Me) and volume two has four movies (Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy and A View to a Kill).

Supplemental features will more than likely be recycled from past editions and it seems the only addition to these 6 sets are the UV redemption codes.
No love for Lazenby or Dalton?
