Hey, Thanks for this list. Although I have a lot of the Bond titles on DvD, and have never upgraded to BD, I grabbed all the recent steelbooks and was left wondering how to complete my collection with the rest of the titles, as inexpensively as possible.

All of the newly released single titles I saw in BB today for $7.50 each but to get 14 I need I may as well grab the new total collection for around the same price. It looks like the extras are contained throughout whichever route you go, so that's not making me swing either way. I suppose the new total collection would be nice, having all together and saving shelf space, but then I still have the 9 steelbooks as well.

After looking over your list I think I will just grab the actor titles I need to fill out the rest of the movies I need, and will only be buying 2 movies twice that I already have via the steelbooks. Your list also let me calculate what I needed and what it would cost. Basically, I will only grab SCvol1, RMvol1, RMvol2, PBcollection, and the 2 Dalton titles, Living Daylights & Licence to Kill. This ends up being the least expensive way for me to complete getting all the movies on my shelf.

Just realized I can grab the Dalton collection to get those titles, didn't see that til now.

If anyone's interested, Amazon's exclusive version has dropped from $210 to $180. Not a bad price drop. That works out to $7.83/film plus the digital copies. I think it might be time to jump on them.

I was just looking around the FoxConnect website, and the Amazon exclusive set is there now, currently only $149.99 (50% off).

Would an item like this be eligible for when FoxConnect has their next flash sale, or is it too expensive? I can't remember if there was a dollar limit a flash sale.

My local Wal-Mart had the white box version in store today for ~ $94. It has a shelf spot and is part of the new modular they were setting. Lowest price I've seen if you're not interested in the Amazon exclusive content.

All the 4k ones look roughly the same, quality wise.

buy those paper cd covers that you print artwork directly on them and then put it on? Of course it has to be perfect and good quality for it to last. Last time I used that type CD-Rs were just starting to get traction though

Uh, yeah there are. I don't have the list handy but roughly half the original 16 films were given 4k remasters for the Ultimate Edition DVD releases, which then carried over to BD. Spy Who Loved Me was upgraded later, I believe.

They all look great, though they have some minor issues since they were such early 4k masters. The grain freezes here and there, maybe a bit too much noise reduction was applied, but overall they look excellent for films of that era. I don't think any of them really stand above the others though, quality wise, so I suppose which was "improved the most" would depend on which was worst on the early DVDs back in the day.

Hopefully the rest of the films are done in 4k someday soon.

I assume you're being funny, or you don't know. That's a Bond blu-ray transfer that Lowry had nothing to do with. Their restoration of TSWLM (with all its ugly baked-in edge enhancement) is on DVD only.

The Amazon Exclusive has the book:

I posted the subtitle options a few weeks back, I'll try and find the post and update this one. Not all the region B discs are the same as the US ones, just the last bacth from a few years back, the original US ones had original audio track whilst in the UK we didn't. Some of the US discs are locked or at least they were originally.
