I'd prefer they put together retrospectives for each Brosnan and Craig film once enough time has passed. So far, those are the only films missing the 'Inside' making-ofs. I love those on all the older Bond movies.

It's *possible* that they got enough extra footage from Brosnan (and some of the other cast/crew involved in his films) when they filmed interviews for 'Everything or Nothing'. Hopefully it'll be a few years until we're post-Craig, but I'm sure it's a very "do-able" thing. Finding a suitable replacement narrator for Patrick Macnee might be tricky, but I'm sure there are plenty of iconic individuals who have been passingly involved in the Bond series who would do a great job!

I also enjoy the "Inside" documentaries and I wish they'd gone through the trouble to remaster all of them in HD for the Blu-ray discs instead of just stopping halfway through the releases. The disparity between the video quality of the extra features on the Blu-ray releases annoys me a bit (along with the lack of textless titles on the more recent discs) but I'm glad they are still readily available for new Bond fans to easily dig deep into the background lore of the series... regardless of video definition.

I don't think they need to do four new docs, but I would love to see a doc on Brosnan's era someday, and also remasters of his films.

I'd like that just fine too. And a doc about the Craig era someday.

Gert Fröbe (Auric Goldfinger) would have been 103 years old today.

Robbie Coltrane is a good narrator.

The only problem with him doing it is, the same one which Patrick Macnee had with 'Inside A View to a Kill'. As he starred in the movie, he was therefore, unable to narrate that programme, because he needed to appear in it, to talk about his part.

Robbie Coltrane starred in 2 films....This causes a problem IMO.

Personally, I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for any new 'Inside' documentaries ever being made in the foreseeable future.

Although, I'm confident we'll see the Lowry 4K print's of the Bond series released towards the end of 2018, to coincide with the release of Bond 25. Again, with new sleeve designs...

So wait without reading the entire thread why is Never Say Never Again not included? It's not an official James Bond?

So the Ultimate has a space for Spectre and all the Bond movies except Never?

Because, it isn't an official entry to the series.

It wasn't produced by Eon, is effectively another adaptation of Thunderball, etc. It was never considered part of the official series from Eon as a result.

Any word on this being rereleased with Spectre included? Trying to decide if I should buy it now for $90 or wait for the version with Spectre (if it's coming).

I hope they release a spectre disc that matches the artwork of the set.

Which "James Bond Blu Ray Collection" is recommended to be "the best"? I've read that the one with the white cover box isn't that great because the poor packaging.... but there are so many other "collections."

The black box ultimate collection is the best. It has the bonus disc with Everything or Nothing documentary, the poster book and digital code. The packaging is among the best as it has real cases and disc hubs. The white box doesn't have the bonus disc, book or code. The old Bond 50 set has a different bonus disc and cardboard sleeve packaging.

Yes, I currently have both, and I just can't decide which to keep lol. The Bond 50 actually takes up less space on the shelf spine-wise, which is important, but the discs in the newer set are easier to take out. I would keep the poster book and the documentary disc if I sold the newer set (bought it originally on black friday for the digital copies)

I've been trying to clear up some shelf space and I picked up the Ultimate Bond collection. Much better set than the old Bond 50 set. Sold the old set to Amazon and sold the digital code. Looks nice on the shelf with the Craig Bond steels.

Is this the set you mentioned as the best?
