True enough. M criticises Bond for the way he used Fields and the guilt over Mathis is genuine.

Is it safe to safe they've moved on from Craig and we're getting a new Bond/reboot at this point? The movie couldn't possibly hit before 2019 by now as they haven't even started a script, so I imagine that's enough time for a change of pace. I was always happy with this as I thought Spectre was a fitting finale for Craig.

The longer time goes on without an announcement the more likely it is they change gears, yes. Which would probably be to their benefit, as I think the Craig style and formula is played out and perhaps not in tune with what's popular right now. Though I don't think we're anywhere near "safe to say Craig is done" yet. Studios fear change.

Naomie Harris and the Bond producers believe Craig will be back for one more, plus they have Christoph Waltz under contract for another only if Craig returns. I think it's very likely he'll be back for one more.

I just really want Idris Elba for the next Bond, but that'll never happen despite the fact that it's 2017. As long as it isn't Tom Hiddleston or the bland Superman dude, I'll be fine.

Idris Elba won't happen because of his age, there's really no other reason. Even if Craig retired today and they signed Idris Elba tomorrow, he's already what, 44 or so? They'd get two movies out of him at the most. Easier for them to just get Craig back for one last hurrah and then recast with a guy in his late thirties who can be with the franchise for more than just a couple of movies.

Roger Moore played the role until he was near 60 so...

I just really don't want Tom Hiddeston. Hope he isn't in the running anymore.

Who would you choose then? It obviously has to be something different.

Ever since the rumors of Craig leaving started, I've wanted Luke Evans. I like Dan Stevens, too. I don't want Hiddleston, and Hardy and Fassbender are too famous to be seriously considered anyway. I think David Oyelowo could be an interesting choice but I haven't seen enough of his stuff, and the guy who plays Kili in The Hobbit movies looks the part but I've only ever seen him in The Hobbit, so I dunno how good he'd really be.

Short answer: Luke Evans. But they'll probably go with someone none of us are thinking of.

Never seen anything he's done save for Girl on the Train which he was awful in. He doesn't have the right look, either IMO.

If you have Netflix, watch The Great Train Robbery with him and Jim Broadbent. That was what first turned me onto the idea of him as Bond. I think before that I'd only seen him some B-grade British crime movies and maybe FF6.

Purchased the Daniel Craig collection and Quantum of Solace disc does not read. Went back to retailer but they did not have anymore in stock or the single Quantum to replace. I have to go the path of the Manufacturer now.....

Does the retailer sell them online? Perhaps you can buy it online.

Dealing with Fox is awful. I would avoid it at all costs.

I purchased from HMV Canada which is going out of business. I have returned to the vendor but unfortunately they are out of stock and will not be reordering. Even the single disk "Quantum" is not in stock to which the manager had said would have switch with my defective.

Agree, I am dealing with Fox and I was hoping the experience would have been more easy. They are asking me to return the entire collection and expect to wait four weeks.

I just want the one disc replaced

Fox is awful. You roll the dice on another disc or packaging being messed up and they cannot comprehend advanced exchange to mitigate that problem.

It'll probably be fine though.

Are there any other HMVs in your area that might have the film or the set in stock? It might be easier just waiting until they are at 90% off and get another set. When I was at one in Saskatoon in Monday, there were about 2-3 of the Daniel Craig sets still available, so there's a possibility (unfortunately, that store is now closed or I would go see if there are any left).

Maybe post in the HMV Deals thread in the Canadian Deals section and perhaps someone will be able to pick up a dirt cheap copy they can send to you.

Thanks for your suggestions. There are no Daniel Craig Collections available in my area (5 stores). In the end I picked Quantum from Walmart in the $8 blu ray bin. Im going to take a picture of both disk and email FOX with a BIG **** YOU for you customer service!!

Is the UV code included in this set one code that redeems all the films or is there a code for every film?

So, I am on the Bond films now as part of backing up my entire BD collection and ran across another bad disc. I got about 15 bad sector errors on my You Only Live Twice disc and this is the newer one from 2015 so that makes me even angrier. You folks might want to check yours.
