Mine go by alphabetical order by movie/series name. Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness are next to each other for example and all the Bond movies are in B in order of release.

If I have more than one edition of a BD (I don't yet) I'd just organize them with Edition 3 after Edition 2 after Edition 1.

I have mine organized in alphabetical order (just as I had my DVDs in alphabetical order). However I make sure that all the series are together by listing them on my Excel spreadsheet as, for example: "James Bond-Live and Let Die" and "James Bond-For Your Eyes Only" etc etc.

It's the exact same system as I used for my DVDs and of course with an Excel spreadsheet you can classify each title as a genre and use a filter to only show you, for example, the Action Adventure titles. Each listing includes Title, Genre, Review (stars out of 5), Duration (e.g. 2:05), Rating (e.g. PG-13), Year, Lead Actor, Lead Actress.

I love the filter tool on Excel because it allows you to organize it through any variable you choose.

Slipcases come first, ending with Casino Royale. Then the "regulars" starting with Quantum.

Aside that, theres not much order. Stuff like above would ruin alphabetical for me, so I don't do it. No companies either but the exception of Disneys. Just wouldn't make sense to me. Dark Knight and Enter the Dragon are both WB, but just don't fit side by side.

I organize my blu-ray movie collection alphabetically including movies that start with numbers like 300 or 30 Days of Night, I do by spelling and not the number for example Thirty - 30 Days of Night comes before Three Hundred - 300. Collections are together if the series has a main title like Bourne or X-Men. Batman and The Dark Knight are not together as they are B and D series in the alphabet. I'd liked if the title had been Batman - The Dark Knight but I guess I could give in on this one and put them together. But my OCD just keeps me from doing that LOL....

Box sets, I ditch the box, I like the clean look of the blu-ray boxes, and the titles that are only the coffee table editions like Poltergeist and Midnight Express are at the end of the collection in alphabetical order. I like keeping my movies in the original box because I think they are safer there than in like a DVD/CD type booklet system. I've had CD's get scratched in those things. Just wish there was just one standard for blu-ray boxes. I wish all movies were on one disc. I hate the digital copy crap and the extras can go on the disc with the movie after all that was the point of blu-ray more storage capacity.

I order mine by the amount of grain in the image. I used to do it by DNR, but that got out of hand quickly.

I have my blu rays hd-dvds and dvds together. I have my movies seperated into genre and then alphabetized. I keep the movies that are part of sequels as its own cabinet of movies together. I use DVD Profiler to keep them organized.

I guess for my new Blu-ray collection I will probably do it alphabetically.

I am not to sure though since I arranged my 200+ reg DVDs by studio types only thanks to the Warner Bros. 'snap cases'.

Same here. In alphabetical order but movies, concerts and TV shows are kept separately.

dvd's then blu's.....some may think i'm crazy for putting my dvd's 1st in line but my blu collection is going to keep growing while my dvd one is not!!

i've recently pulled all of my daughters "little kid" movies out and separated hers on their own shelves and i did the same for x-mas and holiday movies.

the way i see it, if a movie is only watched @ a certain time of year like the santa clause movies, they don't need to be mixed in w/the general popluation!!

numbered movies in order followed alphabetical. I do put series together such as dark knight in the "B" section right after batman begins. I only have one digi book and that is on a seperate shelf and those will be in alphebetical order seperate as they dont fit in w/ the blue cases. If I ever get tv shows they will be seperate but in alphebetical order too

Blu-rays and DVD are seperate and both are 123 ABC with some exceptions (i.e. Live Free or Die Hard is after the Die Hards, the Fast and Furious trilogy is together in order, etc.) Concerts and TV shows are abc too. I tried mixing them up or doing by genre but I drove myself crazy and could never find anything. I spent more time trying to find a movie to watch than watching the movie itself.
