So I was able to snag a copy of Take Shelter brand new from eBay at $7.98 shipped. Couldn't pass it up on an OOP title and on such a brilliant film.

Its very likely that another company (or the producers) bought the US rights from Sony and are planning to do something with it sooner or later.

Original certainly does look to be OOP though. A few listings pop up on dvdpricesearch, but all say unavailable when you click the links. All other links to double do say unavailable too. Used copies are still cheap though.

Part of me is bummed I missed out on that one but another part of me feels like it'll get a label release someday.

There's 4 left with a seller on eBay @ $22.99 (free shipping) which is more than it was but still not totally unreasonable if you don't want to risk it. It's the only price I've seen that isn't out of hand. They look to be selling quickly and there's a fair amount of watchers on it.

Arrow 2K/4K remaster when? Even a remaster from Vinegar Syndrome would be great too if Arrow isn't interested.

That would be the great coup of this release going out of print, personally.

Thanks for looking out. I spent a lot this week already though and I really feel like it will get an Arrow, Shout, whoever release. Also it's a minor title for me. So I'll wait. Cool of you tell me though.

It looks like maybe the 1-disc replaced this and maybe that's being affected by the Amazon thing... just guessing. Probably a false alarm but figured there are some people who frequent here that are far more knowledgeable than me.
