I'm looking forward to the eventual rerelease of Amélie. I only have the DVD.

My local Half Price Books got on a lot of OOP Scream Factory and Troma titles... it’s seems they forgot that “half price” was in their store’s name...

Father’s Day

Squirm

Troll / Troll 2

It’s Alive Collection

Thumbs up

It’s Alive trilogy out of print too? I guess the Warner titles have’t sold well outside of the 2000 and later films they’ve licensed. I was hoping for more 80s and early 90s titles like The Hand, Deadly Friends, Xtro 1 and 2.

I don't think It's Alive is even out of print, that half price bookstore is just pricing things crazy.

My Half Price Books locations never have movies priced that high unless it’s been signed. They usually price them at around MSRP. The last time I was there they had a bunch of Vinegar Syndrome titles priced at $19.99 - $24.99.

Most people don't realize that the full legal name of the company is "Half Priced Books, Triple Priced Movies".

More and more general interest b&m stores are starting to internet price. I've seen used copies of oop releases from Shout, VS, TT, etc with really high prices locally. But they sometimes do occasionally slip through the cracks at low prices like Criterion blus for $3-5. Another time the same movie might be $40. It probably depends who is pricing them on that particular shift.

Half Price Books maybe a bust, but I strike gold all the time at Game Exchange! 4 Godzilla films on blu-ray for $8 total! I got my Meg-A-Shark 8 Movie Collection here a few weeks ago.

From my understanding, Sony didn’t renew their distribution license with Toho for Godzilla Vs. King Ghidorah or Godzilla and Mothra: The Battle for Earth. If you look around online, that is the only set either out of stock or selling for $50+. All the other Sony Godzilla titles are still well stocked and selling between $15 and $20.

Great finds! Glad I picked these up a few years ago when they were on the cheap

The pricing is crazy but I wonder what they really paid the seller for those. Hopefully close to their asking price, fair is fair. I have my doubts the seller likely got much at all. They low ball like any other reseller so they come out ahead. However I am glad we have stores like this around still and I want more and more of them. You have to check prices on everything these days because it's so easy to find real mfsrp and second hand prices on everything. Thrift stores matching eBay prices makes me sick to my stomach. They get the merchandise for free. Half Priced Books has to buy and resell so it doesn't bother me as much as thrift stores inflating prices. Oh well if you don't like the price on an item, buy it or pass on it.

I think I have GONY, Rounders, 54, and definitely Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back on BD. I should have picked up Swingers/Made and Frida though.

I might be tempted to pickup Cop Land and Gangs Of New York if it has the digital copy. I already have the first pressings but I wouldn't mind owning them digitally as well.

Oh, and why wait so long for such an epic release? You must like playing with dynomite
The real reason is that I already have the UK version of the LE (pre-ordered it directly from them) but I was having trouble deciding if I wanted to get the US version as well.
