What about John Carter 3D? Not available for the last 4-5 months now...

Best bet is to get it directly from Drafthouse Films website, where it is still available. |

Maybe the company they licensed it from had their rights expire, causing Olive to discontinue printings. I know someone in the Kino Lorber thread told me that's what happened with Ticks, a Republic/Paramount title that apparently went to Millennium/Alchemy.

Bandits is an MGM title, meaning they usually have long licence leases so the titles the labels get don't expire and go OOP that soon. But then again, this could also mean:
- Like CC's Dressed to Kill, its apparently OOS and more printings will follow to retailers. - There's a unannounced glitch/pressing error unknown to the public and production stopped to make correct pressings. - Or there's a rights issue that came up and MGM stopped all circulation, with ordering Olive to halt disc production until further notice. Maybe we'll get a Vestron Collector's Edition of Tick somewhere down the line. |

Lionsgate co-produced titles with them, but never owned them outright, otherwise Shout! wouldn't have gotten Southern Comfort and Ginger Snaps.
First Look Studios (which was formed from DEJ/Overseas FilmGroup, Regency Entertainment, and Nu Image) was purchased by Millennium Entertainment in 2010. In 2014, Millennium became Alchemy, but didn't really do much theatrically and failed to produce profits. So now in 2016, they filed for Chapter 11 and sold off whatever unfinished productions they had to other studios (to Lionsgate subsidiary A24 ), while their 1000+ title library is up for bidding. At this point, a rerelease of Ticks is unlikely and it seems Southern Comfort and Ginger Snaps may go OOP soon as Vudu took down all Alchemy titles in preparation for a buyer.
