I know, Driven was an awful movie, even Sylvester Stallone admitted that it was bad movie, and regret making it.

I love Driven I mean I know it's terrible but it's a total guilty pleasure for me (huge Harlin fan). I imported the US release some time ago though.

Huh? It was released a few years ago: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-Score-Blu-ray/61083/

Interesting (or maybe I should say exasperating) phenomenom happens to me when I learn various titles are, or may soon be, going OOP. They suddenly seem more attractive to me....

Hilarious! If selling Norbit is your retirement plan, you have more problems than a re-pressing of the disc.

Whoops. Don't know what I was thinking. Remains true but just insert another film for The Score.

You ain't kidding. This thread drove me to pick up Congo, Shaft (Sam Jackson) and Escape from LA. Always thought I find them for $5 used someplace which seems about the right price for 2 of the 3, but I sure didn't want to end up having to pay $30 or more for them.

Norbit
Project Almanac
Tommy Boy
Odd selection. I have yet to see a Norbit with a printed WB UPC, so those are all old. But Days of Thunder and The Island, I haven't seen one without a printed WB UPC for years it feels. Some hot sellers, some they might just still be trying to get rid of (Norbit). It proves there is no rhyme or reason in what goes OOP and what doesn't. I would've bet Zodiac would be on the list of first re-issues, along with South Park.

Congo was going up in price in a hurry on amazon.com. Just topped 20 bucks. I was lucky and called my local Bull Moose and ordered a used copy for 7.97. Yay me.

Serpico is up to $20 from Amazon and more from other sellers now too. I just got it for $13 yesterday. People are definitely ordering these things. I've got 4-5 more from the list I want on my wishlist. Tempted to order them all now and face the wife later.

That's on my list as well. Wish I had the extra cash. Just have to hope for the best. At the very least, I have a region free player if it comes to importing.

I'd love to know which titles.

(just curious, as it seems we share a lot of tastes in movies )

I was able to find all of the titles that I am missing for reasonable prices. The most I paid for a bluray on my list was around $13(Serpico). I am not taking any chances.

My List:
3 Days of the Condor
American Beauty
Escape from Alcatraz
Ghost
The Haunting
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
Marathon Man
Mean Girls
Payback
Primal Fear
Revolutionary Road
Saturday Nigh Fever
Serpico
Stalag 17
To Catch a Thief
War and Peace
Wayne's World 2

LOL, I wonder if this giant uprush in sales all of a sudden will make WB want to renew their contract with Paramount.

That is interesting. Could be nothing.. or perhaps Arrow plans to bring their UK edition over to the states if they acquired worldwide rights.

The Eureka release is superior.

Going for imports of Payback and Escape from Alcatraz. There's a decent deal going on regarding the two titles at Amazon UK. Of course being USA they knock off the VAT.

I would like to pick up Lemony Snicket's , Odd Couple, and Hatari, but I'm not sure if its worth it or not considering that they may well be rereleased.

Is Olive's Thrashin OOP? A few weeks ago on Amazon it was around the $13-18 range, now its up to around $25+ and its mostly third party sellers that carry it.

I think something is going on between Olive and Amazon - tons of Olive BDs are no longer being sold by Amazon, just third-parties. Each one I've checked has been in stock at Olive's own site, at Best Buy, and at Wal-Mart, so there are no other indications of being out of print.
