Jesus, $8 in shipping. That's more than a UK order. Oh well I'm a sucker and bought it. Thanks for the heads up! I doubt anyone ever reprints that one.

No problem! I'm on the fence about getting it myself, it's got low ratings but a lot of people online are saying it's underrated. You never can tell...

I just remember it being generic. My love of urban crime movies from the 70s, 80s and early 90s is strong though.

That is the only way to get Inferno for the US. I have all of the Echo Bridge Hellraiser releases and they are not bad at all. I love Deader, but that one is the real pricey one for some reason.

Canadian bilingual packaging version though, but better than nothing.

A new copy of Death Wish just sold in auction on eBay for $35. Luckily, I got the Canadian Blu for $14 shipped. I honestly can live with the bilingual packaging as the disc is identical to the US version.

Deader was initially a Best Buy exclusive and by the time it was released to all retailers, the Echo Bridge/Miramax deal had ended, so copies of that movie are very scarce.

The Miramax Four-film set contains Inferno.

Strangely enough, this movie is what sparked my interest in forensics.

They have 12 left of the US version on Amazon left for $19.98. I jumped on one because I didn't have this on blu yet and Shaft which looks to be getting scarce.

I don't really remember much about it, so maybe I shouldn't of said crappy. I saw it in theater and maybe once on VHS the same year. Now I want to watch it again.

I stayed quiet but I have to say it out loud... This little crime movie is one of the best achievement in the genre from the US from this era if you ask me.
It's carfeully crafted, very human, emotional and yet very dark. The frozen, rainy landscapes, the uncomfortable atmosphere... everything is magnified by the photography. Plus the acting is very good too.
Well, I loved it... it's the kind of underrated gems that are priceless to me.

I often much prefer revisiting such B crime movies from this era, rather than big acclaimed crime movies.

Sounds like a list comparison YOU should be doing, not us, if you want your answer.

Slightly off-topic, but I noticed a lot of the OOP Paramount titles have two seemingly-identical Amazon listings, with one just labelled “Standard Edition” (ex. Cloverfield, Collateral, Once Upon a Time in the West). Does anyone happen to know what the difference is?

Those are old Paramount releases and newer Warner releases of the same movie. Warner releases often come up as "multi-format" despite only including a blu, for some reason. I noticed when I got Fatal Attraction that the default Amazon listing was the mostly gone Paramount release and worried for a second, before seeing the re-release listing.

The standalone Japanese blu-ray of Hellraiser: Inferno has a better encode and is in 23fps rather than 30fps (but not the best of PQ to be fair, a smidgen better than the standalone Echo Bridge Hellraiser blu-rays, though), but most probably would be happy enough with either the Bloodline/Inferno/Hellseeker/Hellworld set or the double feature with Bloodline.

Well I bit the bullet and grabbed a copy of Marathon Man on ebay off a UK seller after getting confirmation it was the US edition. Cost me the equivalent of around £18 inc shipping which isn't too bad but I can still kick myself it would have been about £10 - £11 a while back. Now that I've bought it you can probably guarantee Paramount will re-release it!

Ah that makes sense, thanks!
