I went ahead and did the same since I wasn't sure if they're just selling through their remaining stock or not. I figured I'd better pick it up just in case it's going OOP.

Likewise, I'm a fan of portmanteau horror films, somehow I had never heard of this one before and I don't usually keep a close eye on Olive releases so it would be a bummer to miss out on it if it is indeed OOP. Never got a shipping notice from Olive, just showed up in the mail.

Studios like Sony, Universal, Lionsgate, Paramount, WB, and even A24 means this deal doesn't break any Monopoly laws.

Not necessarily, even if there are other competitors (i.e. not a true monopoly), if one company gets TOO big in a market that is typically still an issue under anti-trust. Or sometimes if they decide it will reduce to too few major companies. The T-Mobile and Sprint deal was shot down a few years ago, and that was only going to combine the #3 and #4 operators.

Logically speaking, if the govt tried to stop ATT and WB (vertical merger) they should definitely try and stop Disney and Fox (horizontal merger). Of course they probably won't, because that WB thing was political. WB was on Trump's bad side, Fox is on Trump's good side.

Yet the government eventually let the deal go through for the AT&T/Warner merger. Plus the Fox aspect Trump cares about isn't affected by this deal (this deal is just the movies and TV production, not news). This is the last I'll talk about it here, don't want to derail the thread.

Question Is Halloween 10 Disc OOP?

Can anyone confirm the status on this:

This is the 10 disc, not the already known OOP 15 one. Some posters are saying it is now OOP, some are not. I'm just curious, thanks.

FYI, I do still see copies of it at my local WalMart, but those could be the last.

I believe that is one of those situations where it is technically out of print because the licenses have expired, but so many copies were made that it will still be on shelves even after all of the individual films have updated releases.

I only see copies available at Best Buy. Walmart, Amazon, and other online retailers are out of stock.

It was one of the Sony titles affected by the "crushed blacks" over a period of about 6 months. I know it's probably too much to hope, but it'd be great if they released a corrected version.

Did they ever do that for higher profile recent titles like Fury? If not, I don't see it happening for Troop Beverly Hills.

Nope, they never corrected any of them in the US.

The affected new release titles - Fury, The Interview and Annie - which hadn't yet been released overseas, were corrected before their international releases, but Sony never made corrected versions available in the US.

The affected catalog titles - My Best Friend's Wedding, My Girl and Troop Beverly Hills, were never corrected anywhere.

I was just dreaming of a fantasyland.
