Selling for or someone asking? I can put any Blu or DVD for sale on Amazon or eBay for $1000, it doesn't mean it's worth that much. The most important number is what it is actually sold for. On eBay this movie (Apt Pupil) has sold from $50-$100.

Many people are confused by this and it can cause people to think their Blu or DVD is worth much more then it actually is. Always go by completed auctions, not the ridiculous number someone is asking.

I wish amazon had a sold items listing like ebay does, but I've noticed with OOP stuff amazon prices rae always a bit higher. It's like amazon is the prices sellers wish to get, ebay is where they get what will get, and usually 10-25% cheaper than amazon for stuff that has been OOP. Milage varies on newly OOP stuff, deals can often be had on amazon. The $3.99 shipping makes it hard to find them though when factoring that in!

We'll never know if someone did pay $500 for that Apt Pupil, or if the listing just was taken down. I'll bet on taken down.

Amazon's resellers cater to a different crowd and mindset I think. They are going for the people who just want that movie now and might pay a stupid price to get it. Ebay is all about waiting for the right deal or auction. Different mindsets.

Cuz it's forgettable and just meh. I have the dvd, watched it last year and can't recall anything except Eli Roth played the director. I won't call it crap cuz I can't recall enough and do recall not hating it, but feeling like it would get very little replay. I doubt I'd upgrade it for $5, and am perfectly fine with this being OOP and not having it unlike other titles which make me hunt for them.

Speaking of the hunt. I ordered Ticks from ebay last Tuesday and haven't even got a shipping notice yet. I did contact the seller and they assured me it's "processing" and will be out by Friday. I hope so, I've bought from this seller many times on ebay and amazon alike and never had to wait like this. I hope they aren't gonna hold back since I got the last $30 one and now it's $80+, but the reply did seem sincere so I still have hope. If not, the boycott will be on and the seller will be called out in all public places for shadiness! Let's all hope it doesn't come to that.

Eli Roth is like only in the first 5 minutes....then never seen again. I actually got it due to Fruit Chan...ugh...fail. I also generally like Henry Thomas, which is why I also got this. Regrettable, forgettable. Cheap blind buy though.
