How did you pull that off? The code is linked to your PSN ID. Valve specifically designed the code to work in such a way that you couldn't give away your PC code.

Yes they do. You just can't sync 'em until PSN service resumes.

I can understand why people get upset, but the amount of nerd rage reaches ridiculous levels. Is it annoying? Yes. Is it life altering? I certainly hope not. It sounds like their servers in Japan went down, possibly from a glut of rolling blackouts? If so, they should probably switch their server system (at least the core of it) from Japan because this summer's going to be awful over there.

Agreed on the first part. But Vancouver is getting their ass kicked by Chicago, I'm so mad I can't even watch the rest of the game...with PSN down how will I vent my rage by shooting people?!?!

I heard the Japan theory too, but I think it's just a rumor at this point. I would hope a company with servers so widespread across the globe would try to avoid single "points" of failure even if that point is all of Japan.
