My thoughts exactly. If you're into sex slapstick comedies that reviews pretty much agree the worst movie of 2011 (Sitting at 0% at RT), then stay away from this movie people call one of this year's best (my favorite of this year).

I just bought the jacket. And pre-ordered the steelbook

Came to about $200 total for both.

But I couldn't resist. I figure I'll be getting some money for the holidays anyways.

I also have the US one pre-ordered on AMZ for $18.99 and I want to buy the soundtrack and book now

Hopefully the artwork will actually look something like this (although it looks like they photoshoped some sunglasses on him ), and hopefully it won't be covered in those awful British rating icons.

Even if it is it will still look light years better than the U.S. artwork.

Most likely wishful thinking...like Tarantino and the Kill Bill "the whole bloody affair" edition. It doesn't sound like anything concrete; in fact, he says "maybe in a year." I'm not holding my breath.

I pre-ordered the Drive steelbook from HMV over a month ago. Now that I see the artwork, I might get two copies. So amazing. Hopefully my region free player gets fixed before I get it.

you guys to have a good point. but the only reason im buying the crappy movies first is because those are the ones i tend to watch right away. like i bought The Departed last xmas, and i still havent watched it. Its just something i tend to do.

Ill either at the last minute buy it, or wait until my bday ( a monthish later)

But why watch the crappy movies at all? Why would you rather watch a movie you know is crappy over a movie you know is a masterpiece?

I'll more than likely buy both version just because I enjoyed this movie so much. It'd be nice to have one copy in the steelbook section of my shelf, and one in the regular blu ray section. Hell, might even import the regular UK release as well, I enjoy that artwork too!

If your really into collecting editions, look up the French regular and steelbook editions.
