How about the most overrated Blu-Ray release? Shooter or Blades of Glory...i can understand it's rarity right now but these 2 titles will eventually be in every store shelves within the next couple of weeks. Just too many threads on them...

as far as movie goes...War of the Worlds (a little dissappointed) & Titanic...

I think that's why it will be in people's personal opinions that it was horribly overrated. And really, if I think it is a bad movie, the fact that it made that much money and did that well kind of helps my argument that it is overrated doesn't it?

I liked 300, so can't agree with ya on that one. Haven't seen TWBB though, doesn't look like I would enjoy it at all.

I don't know man. Maybe it was just overhyped for me. I just didn't feel it. But the bluray will be spectacular.

In this community it is definitely Transformers. Of recent releases, though, it is I am legend. I am looking forward to hearing what all of those who have not yet seen Transformers have to say. It was pretty darn stupid. If I were to choose a BD action movie to watch over, I would choose 3:10 to Yuma, AVP-R, 30 Days of Night, Apocalypto, War or several others before watching Transformers.

I personally had very high hopes for I am legend, and was really let down by the terribly fake looking special effects.

You probably are the first one I have talked to who didn't enjoy it... I guess I went in expecting very little, so it was a nice surprise for me

Friday the 13th (pick one) - extremely overrated. I like it, but it has too many flaws. Seriously surprised it surpassed one of the Star Wars movies at the box office.

Star Wars - I just hate sci-fi

Pirates of the Carribean - I just hate them. Johnny Depp looks and sounds like a drunk homeless person in it. Awful IMO.

Shoot 'Em Up - sickening trash. A classic example of a movie raping the audience.

The Shining - if the acting was better, it'd hold up as being one of the greatest horror movies ever. But the acting...oh god, the acting.

Action movies like Casino Royale, Batman Begins, Superman Returns, etc.

PS. IMO

You do realize Jack Nicholson is one of the greatest actors ever right?

Have to agree with you there. The first one, I just got bored with it. Never watched the other two.

OK then I will put another vote in for Titanic. That has to be the most over rated movie I have ever seen.

It's hard to pick just one.

Most overrated:
Stanley Kubrick's "classics" (2001, The Shining, etc.)
Quentin Tarantino's "modern classics" (Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, etc.)
Transformers
Lord of the Rings (all 3)
300
The Departed
Iron Man
Beowulf

I'd like to veto everyone's choice of Titanic. It was the only movie I've ever gone back to see again in a theater (except for The Matrix but I was drunk and passed out halfway through it the first time).
