Movies You Feel Should've Been Critically Acclaimed But Didnt Get Credit It Deserved? - Blu-ray Forum

Ok so we talked about the critically acclaimed flicks that didnt deserve it, so on the flipside, what movies actually deserve acclaim but was either overlooked or wasn't talked about enough or wasn't award worthy?? Off top a couple I would say are:

A Bronx Tale
The Negotiator
John Q
Lucky Number Slevin
Blood Diamond

The Negotiator

is a movie that I had never heard of until a movie night at school actually I wanted to see it then but it did not get enough votes.

I was surprised I had not heard of it before because it stared Samuel L. Jackson and Kevin Spacy. I loved the movie but I don't need it in high def although I am glad it is coming out.

Is that right?? Yea man thats why I listed it!! It had an exceptional supporting cast as well! I thought Sam & Kevin played well off each other with great chemistry!! Definitely shouldve gotten more recognition!! Got Em!!

How'd they have great chemistry and play well off of each other? They communicated through walkie-talkies and never shared a scene for 90% of the movie.

Come on man!! Their 2 characters worked well together whether when they were in person or on the phone or whatevr!! I liked the 2 characters and dialogue they had together throughout the movie!! U was just turning the corner dont go backwards! haha Got Em!!

King, I rarely have any idea what you're talking about.

My point is, they don't share a scene until the last 10 minutes of the movie. They probably filmed Jackson, then weeks later filmed Spacey.

Well.... it's easy to go back and look at the classic films, or "Cult Classics" that were unknown, but became huge hits...... so to go with something newer, I'd say "Let the Right one In" I really enjoyed it, but heard nothing about it prior to the Blu-ray release.

Well movies pretty much nominated for awards or just talked about a great deal by critics etc... Alot of notoriety!! Got Em!!
