Default The most overrated film, in your opinion?

Y'know, there are some movies out there that have just been so overhyped, yet so underwhelming, but still manage to get everyones attention at the box office. I thought that I might do a thread where we could name and discuss about the movies that got more than they should've in the first place.

You really think The Lion King is over rated? I have not seen Cloverfield, so I cannot comment on it. I personally think the most over rated movie Rocky 5, where he fights Tommy Gunn. There was so much hype around that movie it was ridiculous. I loved the first 4 and Rocky Balboa but I could do without 5.

Same... I know for many people it was "incredible" but "too sappy" is much more accurate IMO

Rocky 5 is probably one very few people will disagree with

i am pretty sure that this thread was made like 300000 times before, but im too lazy to search for it. I will once again say, "no country for old men". and then im going to say "the matrix"...let the hate begin.

I left Titanic running while I went out and had dinner. I felt like I didn't miss anything when I got back

Transformers was mildly entertaining, but not so much to keep me from falling asleep in the theater.

In 300, I was bored after the first 10,000 were slaughtered.

I don't think saying that a movie that grossed $600 million domestically (the only to cross the 500 and 600 million dollar mark) and nearly $2,000,000,000 (the zeroes make it a bigger number) internationally can be called overrated. Oh, and 11 out of 14 Oscars (another record).

There Will Be Blood
Titanic
Transformers
It's a Wonderful Life

...and to a lesser extent Cloverfield (It was only hyped up by trailers and buzz, no one that actually saw it tried telling me it was awesome)
