I have to do that as well! Can barely member few scenes.

I hope a UHD release of the original is on its way!

Part of me thinks there's now way in hell Cruise is actually flying those planes....but the other half thinks Cruise is just crazy enough to get the studio to let him do it.

I'm thinking custom built F-14 (or whatever it is) where the actual pilot is sitting in front of Cruise. An extended front with room for two separate cupulas and the camera rig.

They built a rather impressive (for the time) Harrier Jump Jet prop for Arnold Scwarzenegger in True Lies, that helped create the illusion that Arnold himself was flying a fully functioning jet fighter.

This film looks like it will have very impressive action scenes with a lot of cheese/family drama in between.

He flew the helicopter in Fallout. So, him actually piloting the jets here wouldn’t be a surprise.

Quote:
civilians are not allowed to use government equipment, particularly militarized jets — so even Tom Cruise can’t just take off in an F/A-18 Hornet, even if he does feel the need, the need for speed. (I know, we’re a bit bummed about that too).

However, Cruise, a licensed pilot, has gone through extensive training for the film and will do some of his own flying “in certain aircrafts.”

This looks really good ! Never seen an movie in IMAX this just might be my first ! And Tom is one of the few 80's stars left who still does these big action pictures and looks good doing them.

Say what you want about his personal life the man always gives 100% when it comes to his movies, the man works hard !

Do we know this won't be in 3D? I assumed it would be.

Still need to check out the 3D conversion on the first one, it's been on my shelf literally for years but I haven't bothered lol

I had hoped but nothing was visible at the end of the trailer, just IMAX etc.

IMAX, Dolby Cinema and PLF.

I'm actually surprised that there's no 3D, since the first had a 3D re-release.

yes and after Tom championed a 3D version of Fallout (that never got a disc release).

Anyway it's ultimately irrelevant as Paramount won't put a 3D Blu Ray even if Top Gun Maverick is released in 3D.

Well, damn...

Surprised if they actually let Cruise fly in such tight formations with real navy pilots.

It's funny - The IT Chapter 2 trailer is the main event at SDCC for me, but I gotta say this trailer surprised me positively. I really hope the final film delivers.

It’s possible that they could decide to do a conversion closer to release. But yeah, a bit odd given the re-release of the first film and the director has said he enjoyed working with 3D on Tron Legacy, I’m guessing this was a budget/3D box office decision.

Yeah, maybe. If the formats are the same, when it's close to release, then it's not happening.

I can't stop watching this trailer. There's just a feeling to it that I guess you could call nostalgia, but I call it a kick in the pants.

Yeah. I expected more reactions from IT: Chapter Two, but I’ve seen more response from this trailer instead.
