sounds like a reference video/audio 4K Blu-ray...
The aerials look absolutely terrific, which is the opposite of my takeaway on the original, where the cockpit shots looked like they were filmed through sunglasses, it made IRON EAGLE seem a-list by comparison. I have almost exactly zero interest in this movie based on content and lead, but the aerial stuff is awfully damned compelling.

I need to see more footage of Tom actually playing Maverick, cause this just looks like Jack Reacher: Need for Speed.

Tom has two acting styles: goofy tough guy (Ethan Hunt), and stoic tough guy (everything else).

Having seen the first one in theaters back in the day, I think this captures the spirit of the first one. I haven’t seen a Tom Cruise movie in forever, but I might go to see this one.

Then you've missed some of the best big budget movies of recent years.

Trailer looks awesome, but also many for the fans of the first part. Many shots looks like homages

It's a shame this won't be in 3D as those aerial sequences would be even more impressive with strong 3D. The first movie has a surprisingly solid conversion.

I noticed a lot of people are saying, "I never saw the first one". I have a few things to say:

- the aerial sequences are amazing. The rest of the movie is pretty cheesy. Cruise and McGillis have zero chemistry (wonder why...).

- how f-ing YOUNG are you??? Good grief; I feel ancient!

I don't remember much from the first one aside from Cruise racing a Kawasaki bike along side a fighter plane or some scene like that. Anyhoo, the trailer for Maverick is dope. Aerial sequences would look great in IMAX.

Everything about this trailer is perfection. I can't wait! Truly excited for this film!

I think I'm the only person who notices that they used the same shot twice in the final dogfight in the original. But I have to see it again, my brain could've tricked me. Still love the film though.

Three points.

1. Cruise is incredible in his dedication.
2. This looks amazing. I have a boner for the 4K already.
3. I really need to re-watch the original again. I am pretty sure 70% of my memories are actually from Hot Shots.
