Poor poor Hollywood. Have they run out of ideas?

Michael Bolton: That's the worst idea I've ever heard in my life, Tom.
Samir: Yes, this is horrible, this idea.

i think it's a lot better of an idea than all those land before time sequels or disney sequels. and certainly much better than the beverly hills cop 4 sequel. i'd much rather see top gun 2 than any of the ones mentioned above.

I agree, better than most stupid Hollywood sequels like, "I Still Most Definitely Also Remember Knowing What You Did Last Summer 5." Jeez!

I'd like to see a sequel to Top Gun where Maverick is retired from the military and in training to become a Benihana sushi chef along with his pal, "Rice Man".

Top Gun 2: Top Ramon!

"I'll have you know when I fry, my crew and my pan come first!"

"I feel the need, the need for seaweed! Ow!"

Why do they feel a need to make sequels to movies that are long since past their expiration date? Sequels are usually done while the hype is still there! I haven't exactly seen much hype about Top Gun let alone Tom Cruise lately.

they've been making remakes for several years... when I go to the movies I like to watch original content.

Not a horrible idea... but definitely not the best idea that I've heard for a sequel.

IMO Cruise is pretty decent at picking good scripts and if this smells like shxt, I think he'll stay far away.

Is Tony Scott coming back to direct?

If Tony Scott were to return. I would consider it.

If the movie is 1hr 30 min. I will stay away.

that sounds like a diss. how can you discount 1997 and it's glorious speed 2: cruise control? or 1998 and it's x-files: fight the future? or the great classic comic adam sandler movies of the 00's? and don't forget the 00's greatest actor, jackie chan.
