Yes I get the annual pass. When I renewed my annual pass this year not only did I get the renewal discount but I also got an extra 3 months Also my annual pass gives me discounts at Disney resorts. For my birthday vacation in 2009 I stayed at Disney's AllStar Music and with the discount it was like $59 a night.

For my 2 week birthday vacation in 2011 I booked the Disney's Wilderness Lodge at a public discount that gave me 40% off. My vacation is in Jan/Feb. The annual passholder discount has not come out for Jan/Feb yet. When it does I might be able to apply the passholder discount. Since I am allready saving 40% I might not save that much more, but still even if the discount it just a little bit better I like it

I've never stayed at any of the Disney on-site hotels. I heard Wilderness Lodge is nice though. It must be nice to live in the surrounding area and take advantage of the annual pass and discounts.

I would not want to live in Orlando, it is way too hot and humid there all the time.

It was rough..I was there last year and it wasn't bad but this year really rocked me. I was running to air conditioned rooms. I had the Express pass for Universal since I stayed on site so it was great to skip the lines and be done with the park before noon..go back to the hotel and jump in the pool, nap and do it all over again.
