Unfortunately, Budapest is not cheap to visit anymore. As a matter of fact, it's more expensive than most of the US cities. Ever since we became part of the EU, our prices started reflecting that of Western European nations. That's bad.

Anyway, I did visit Belgrade amongst many other former Yugo cities back in 1989. I have some fond memories of that vacation.

That's cool. I'm a drummer too. At least I was. Haven't had much practice for a little while now. Ironically, I used to have CB drum set as well. It was an 7 piece set with two base drums and I had a nice curved Gibraltar rack to go with it. Those were the days.

Ok i think that all the mods should post their pics in here. It would be interesting to see what Woo and Josh look like. For some reason I have a feeling that Woo would look like a bad ass.

There was this buddy of ours that used to jam with us and he bought all of those when I worked at movie gallery for like $2 a piece. So that was when he was sittin around chillin by himself, he would watch those old things. Sadly though he died in a wreck not to long after that picture was taken. R.I.P rick

That's a shame, I want to go Budapest when I return to Europe. Couple of friends went to Prague they said it was still pretty cheap, cheap compared to here. I hear same with Greece use to be so cheap until the Euro came in....

I found Belgrade pretty cheap, in the 2 weeks I was there I spent no more than $450USD mind you I stayed with family so accomodation was free, still alcahol, cigarettes, nightlife, food, etc was CHEAP compared to europe and cheap compared to Australia. I must say I have fond memories of Belgrade to love that city, hopefully i'll return there next year.....London, Paris, Barcelona, OUCH! they stung!

I hear Moldova and Romania are still cheap. Likewise the Blatic Republics, especially Lithuania, but I haven't been over there since the new entries to the EU. I wonder how Bulgaria is now. I guess the next time I go to central and E. Europe I'll have to plan on spending more money. I do know people to stay with, so that always helps.

Yeah, Pearl is definitely much better then CB, but to tell you the truth I'm not a huge fan of it. I'm not that crazy about Tama either. My preferred brands are Premier, Yamaha and DW. Although, I'm thinking about picking up Roland's flagship electronics drum set, the TD-20K . This way I can get back into practicing without disturbing the family and neighbors. I could also record directly from it.
