I have a job and I work out 6 days a week but I'm betting if my dream to return to NMSU comes true, my posting will plummet substantially.

My point, although I concede that I didn't make it clear, is, that even though we have a job, wife, kids, front and back yard, responsibilities, things to do...etc (at least I do), we still all have a smart phone.

In the forum days of 2000 - 2005, we had to rely on getting to a desktop computer to post (or laptop). Now, with smart phones (plus Tapatalk), we can almost be active in here any time!! Yet, I'm personally still only showing an average of under 5 posts a day!

With the phone, I find I'm in here more.
No more needing to go to the blu-ray.com forum to SEE if there's been new replies. With Tapatalk on your phone, you get a notification (in my case, the BUTTON SOUND from Portal 2) every time someone replies to a thread I'm subscribed to.

You mean your phone makes a beep when you aren’t even on it? So if you’re walking down the street with your phone in your pocket and there are a lot of replies to the threads you’re subscribed to, your phone will beep uncontrollably? That seems annoying if that’s the case!

Yeah. But wait...
One beep per thread (until I read it), and one beep every time I'm quoted.

For example, whether THE THING thread gets one new reply or twenty new replies, I'll get only one beep. It's letting me know, "Hey, there's a new reply or replies in here".

As soon as I go in, it resets and will notify me if there's a new one(s) starting now.

I used to work out every day, did triathlons etc etc...then kids happened.
Raising kids puts the most grueling of workouts to shame!

A few months ago I’d see how many posts members had under their avatars in the threads they posted in. Now I don’t see that anymore. Is this a setting that can be turned on or off? I wouldn’t see it if I was on my computer but I would if I was on my phone.

I bet eiknarf just heard a bell sound on his phone notifying him of this post.
