Predator 2 encoding problem - Blu-ray Forum

I recently bough the UK Predator 2 Blu-ray and while playing on a PS3 with the latest firmware, I noticed the disc skipped in chapter 26 at the 1:26:38 mark approximately.

Is this a known issue or do I just happen to have a bad disc? If so, I'll just return it to Amazon UK to get a replacement. Any feedback? The EAN is 5039036039352

I don't own a PS3 - I have a Sony BDP-S360 but I haven't encountered any dramas with this disc.

Thanks for the feedback. Must be a single faulty disc then. I'll see to get a replacement.

Mine's fine. Must be a problem with the disc it's self. I would return it.

weird, mine has a problem around 1:24:38, it skips forward about 10 seconds. Tested on a fat and slim ps3

Maybe I'll ask for a replacement, bought from HMV.

That's the exact same problem I had on a slim PS3! I'll return mine to Amazon and keep you posted. Might be a bad batch of discs.

Cool, keep us updated, just tried the same disc in my pc, and at the 1:24:38 mark the whole screen pixellates for a split second then plays fine.

Just to confirm the EAN on the back of mine is the same, so it may be a bad batch.

Hopefully your replacement is fine.

Amazon accepted my return request and I've stated the exact error that occured. I'm shipping it back and they'll send a replacement. Hopefully, I'll be more lucky with that one.

Sorry to resurrect a 4 year old thread, but I'm having a similar problem.
This is my first time watching this film on blu-ray.

Right after the Predator started attacking the people on the subway, the disc started stuttering, and tgen locked up completely.

This happened in my Xbox One.

Is it a known issue?

It's the disc from the 2013 release of the trilogy.

Probably completely unrelated but the only 4K UHD disc freeze I have ever had was with Predator 2 4K about halfway through - layer change? I had to power off the X800 completely. Got back to where it was and it was fine.

My copy of the UHD played through just fine on my Xbox One X.

I watched it on my Xbox one a few weeks ago and it played just fine

I bought the trilogy pack on blu-ray I'm guessing five or six years back.

The copy of Predator 2 went funny on both my PS3 and Toshiba player at the point where Glover is fighting the Predator in the old ladies apartment and hanging off the side of the building.

Clearly a disc error.
