While I love the look of this, any Prometheus to Alien box set at this point is surely incomplete without the sequel/s?

Kinda reminds me of the new Terminator box set coming out at Best Buy, assuming two more movies will be made.

Yes, both movies were great, my favorites of the summer, and both are very different. I actually havn't seen The Avengers yet, but I hear it is fun.

I knew going into Prometheus that it will be the first of a new trilogy. Honestly I thought they explained too much considering there are 2 more Prometheus sequals to come. I liked the open style of the movie, and while others hate the loopholes and the lack of explenation, I love it. I saw it 3 times in theaters in 3D and I cannot wait to watch it again.

I thought premetheus was one of the better films I have seen this year
The 3d IMAX itself was breathtaking. Can't wait to own it. Got a nice empty spot next to the rest of the alien anthology for it

I think Prometheus was conceived as a two part film, but Fox wanted to hold the budget back for that until it was a financial success, which it has certainly has been beyond most people's expectations especially for how an R-rated scifi film is supposed to perform. So I don't know where this talk about a trilogy is coming from, but if it did turn into a trilogy I certainly won't be complaining at all.

I saw this movie 4 times. And I loved it each time. I think seeing it in both 3D and non-3D is worth it too. The non-3D version definitely had more detail I think in the image. Although, the 3D version is worth seeing for the silicon storm scene alone.

Just found this. Originally in the scene of Fifield attacking the crew Fifield was rendered wih CGI and looked entirely different. Scott contemplated going this route if the practical makeup didnt work. The cgi Fifield looks far less zombie and more mutated alien. Anyways you can read about it at the link: http://www.slashfilm.com/three-cgi-i...-action-scene/

Here are the pictures.

In many ways I prefer the mutated alien look far more than the zombie. It makes more sense what we see with Shaw's grand-baby (the Deacon) that the goo is directly related to breaking down our DNA into "xenomorph-like" qualities.

And if you notice, the back of CGI Fifields head is elongated somewhat like a prototype of the Deacons head.

Yeah, I wish they'd gone with that. I found the generic zombie look to be fairly lackluster. Typically, I vote for practical effects/make-up over CGI - but in this case I think it would have been much better.

You have no idea what it looks like in motion though. You're just going off of screenshots. It motion, it could have the "fake CGI" look. I definitely vote for practical effects.

Alternate beginning and ending on BD, probably the extended fight scene with the ax at the end and the multiple engineers (elderly engineers) at the beginning.

Well, yes of course. I was speaking more of the design, which I think is much better.

Ugh, there they go here as well, referring to this as the "Director's Special Edition". From all indications, it seems like we're not getting an alternate cut - so why are they using this phrase? All it's doing is unnecessarily raising my hopes!

Also, we're now down to just, what, six weeks? When are they going to announce this sucker?!

I know, right? Why must they toy with us? Like there aren't enough other decisions on our minds...which version of Avengers to buy, Prometheus Evolution or 3D, steelbook or regular, import or domestic...and on and on.

Though the Evolution set looks very nice (though release dates are different according to country), it is pricey and I do have the Alien Egg so I'll probably wait till all the sequals are done and just get the inevitable "Complete Ultimate Alien Evolution Legacy Anthology: Limited Director's Cut Edition"
