I don't have 3D equipment, nor do I care for it, but I picked up the 3D set so I could get the documentary disc.

And it's a wicked set of bonus features - better than the movie, in fact!

I think he meant to say:

"The 3D is the only set WITH the 3 1/2 hour documentary on an extra disc. That's what isn't in the 2D version."

Yes that's right---that post was probably meant to say 'with' and made a mistake. The 3d edition is the only one with the documentary.

Definitely not just you. I LOVED the score. Very eerie and at times chilling.

That being said, there's more than just the documentary on that disc...

So the 2D release is missing more than the documentary. I really hope this isn't a new trend (barebones 2D release to force everyone to buy 3D), I can (barely) tolerate it in this case because the difference is only $5.

Just got done watching this for the first time and in 3D. I absolutely loved it and can't wait for the next one. Sure, it had a few issues, but over all it was a very good sci- fi movie. Can't wait to dive into the supplements this weekend.

Wow that was a slog. Being from Australia this forum is more active overnight for me and i just had to catch up on 20 pages.

Kinda curious for those guys who have bought their 2d bonus disc on ebay for $3-4, why didnt you just pay $5 more and get the full 3d version and then just sell the 3d disc for $10 which is what they seem to go for. I know for some people its just the principle but studios arent going to stop doing this so best to make best of a bad situation.

Still waiting for mine to ship from Amazon then i have to wait 2-3 weeks for it arrive. Poo

The special feature set is so loaded it almost scares me.

I'm glad you loved the movie, btw.

I just finished watching Prometheus and if you don't give it a 10/10 on PQ something is wrong with your setup! This is an absolutely perfect transfer. AQ is also a 10/10 with the 3D effects giving nice depth. I noticed no ghosting with the image...

Overall this is top tier reference quality.

This is crazy. I'm still working my way through the enhancement pods. I haven't even gotten to the commentaries, deleted scenes, etc. This BD is f'ing awesome!

Just bought and watched Prometheus and it was absolutely gorgeous. I've got a question though, where do they "answer" questions that was advertised on their commercials? Is it on the commentaries or the bonus disk?

I felt they could have done a little better with the story, but overall it is one of the better made sci-films I have seen over the past 10 years.

There are some plot holes, unnecessarily added fluff and stupid action scenes, but overall I enjoyed the movie in the theater and enjoyed watching it again tonight! This is one of my top films of 2012.

I definitely felt that the deleted scenes helped answer a couple of questions. I would say most of them probably should have been kept in and I think it would have hushed a couple of complaints.
