That reminds me of this awesome lightsaber safety video:

That's aces

Given how the characters are utterly repulsed by science in this film that fits the bill perfectly: "Angles, you say? Nah, these straight lines are what I choose to believe". **SPLAT**

That's why I have a good feeling about Covenant. You could tell that Ridley wasn't sure what exactly he wanted to do with Prometheus. I think with Covenant he knows exactly what he wants to do. So imagine all those amazing visuals but with a good story and script. The fact that it's doubling down on the Sci-fi/horror aspect like the original Alien will also help immensely as that's what the trailers for Prometheus promised and is what got most of us so excited in the first place.

I'm the opposite, I hope they drop Alien from the title of Covenant when it hits baby blu. It's unneeded and only there to get bigger BO.

Covenant alone sounds too much like a movie about a religious order.

Might want to keep searching - there are more definitions for the word than the ones you just posted...

But it's the name of the ship, just like in Prometheus. It makes sense and fits the motif of naming each movie after the ship the new crew is aboard. Again, adding Alien makes sense from a marketing angle, I'm not arguing that. I'm just saying on a personal level that is what I would prefer.

They could call Alien Covenant "Renny Harlin's The Covenant" and still no one would mistake it for that movie.

Probably saving it to promote the new film.

I wouldn't say it's a good Christmas movie. It's a good movie set at Christmas, but for those looking for a good Christmas movie fix, the references in Prometheus are minimal.

This film was finished in a 2K digital intermediate.

So were 90% of UHD released movies. The real upgrade is (supposedly) HDR and wide color gamut.

If Fox was willing to give Martian a true 4K UHD, maybe they'll do the same for Prometheus?

I'm not sure it even needs it. Pacific Rim was shot on 5K RED and finished at 2K just like Prometheus was, and the upscaled 4K UHD disc is hands down one of the finest UHDs currently available on the format.

Prometheus looks stunning as it is, so the addition of WCG and HDR will turn it into a demo UHD disc even without true 4K resolution. But if they were to go back to the camera files and raw VFX in order to create an extended cut (hint hint, Fox!) then they might as well redo the master in true 4K at the same time.
