This movie had great direction, some good and one great performance and an amazing mix of practical and CGI effects. However, the writing and choices to cut out scenes without shortening the exposition to fit within a "theatrical" runtime, left this movie a VERY sour taste in my mouth. I found more answers about the plot points they left out of the theatrical cut from interviews from Ridley Scott and producers more so than I did from watching the movie! Something that should definitely NOT happen.

This is definitely one to watch the Director's cut of.

I initially gave it a rating of 2.5/5 on RT.com because of that alone.

completely agree. the movie was stunning. something just didn't feel right and didn't keep my attention. Charlize was the only reason I didn't walk out and go home.

The only special features I really want are the deleted scenes, and the 2D version has them, but I like the 3D cover so much more...tough call.

Buying the Collector's Edition day 1. Only thing I disiked about it was Logan Marshall-Green.

This x10000. I really loved the movie, but hell was he dull. People say he looks like Tom Hardy - I only wish we could have had him in the role. The thing this movie was really missing was chemistry between Elizabeth and Charlie.

Agreed! Tom Hardy is amazing! Still loved the film, though.

did you miss where i said i'm buying it becaus of Charlize? did you miss the part where i said I probably won't watch it again? Charlize is enough reason to have this in my collection. Not to mention, i wipe my ass with the money I'll be putting towards this film.

Why don't you just rent it? Especially if the extras are on the rental edition.

Your Charlize Theron set is already incomplete. You don't have Young Adult, Aeon Flux, Monster or Hancock. And Young Adult is her best film(besides Prometheus).

who says i don't? ordered from amazon just a few days ago. they delivered but i haven't been home thus making my gates closed. so i'll hopefully get it Monday.

I actually thought he did a good job. I also liked him in Devil.

I felt this movie was perfectly cast and amazingly directed. David was my favorite character though.
