As for the actual price, we won't know until Tuesday for the Target ad and then Wednesday when the Best Buy ad leaks. |

what i dont get is this: if target just let the ad run on the avengers, couldnt they just sub the 3d version to any customers who complained? why make such a big deal about it and change the price? false advertising? or just lots of people buying and then getting home and realizing no digital copy? |

Just picked up the 2D Target exclusive version a few hours ago. Can't wait to re-watch the film and then delve into the special features!
I'll probably end up buying the 4-Disc 3D version at some point; Prometheus ranks with Hugo and Avatar as one of the most effective 3D films in recent years. |

No. I live in Canada (Target isn't opening here until 2013), and for some reason the retailer I visited this evening had three copies of the 2D Target Exclusive version on the shelf. They also had the "Little Shop of Horrors" digibook available (bought that as well).

The case says region A only, but it's really multiregion. I know because I'm based in the UK, my player is region B locked and I can play all the discs in the set with no problem. Obviously the DVD is still region 1, but who cares for the DVD?

Even though the 4-disc set does look nice, it's annoying that as a fan of the film wanting all the extras, I'm essentially being forced to buy 2 discs that I consider useless - the 3D Blu-ray and DVD.
Damn you Fox for not releasing a nice and neat, 2-disc Blu-ray set. After having Laserdisc, DVD and now Blu-ray, accruing extra junk I don't want is a pain. I'll be purchasing the 4-disc set knowing that soon enough, it will be rendered as obsolete 'land fill' when the inevitable 4K version comes out. |

Sorry if this has been answered before. I have the 2D version on order and should be with me on Monday. Is the 2D version 2 discs or 3?

Never mind 4K, you just know they're going to come out with a Director's Cut in 6 months - the one we were supposed to get now. I just hope it's not another pointless 4-disc set. |
