It might not be until 2017 before the HDR standards are finished. In the short term though the safe choice would be a TV that supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG. |

Can you tell me, where do I need to push on Imdb
To get information About what camera was used during making this movie? Because I want to know where was originally 4k technology used and where no. Because if the movie wasn't directed on the native 4k technology cameras, consequently it couldn't have real 4k quality I 100% know that Tomorrowland movie was originally directed on 4k camera Please inform me which movies are also originally directed on 4k And why now most of the movies are not directed in 4k In the nearest future this format Will be widespread |

![]() should eventually come along to offer additional insight above and beyond what imdb may list at the time. Also, for the nuanced,….. ‘shotonwhat’ is a relatively unknown (to consumers) resource which although not being very helpful for specifics about the finishing, sometimes does a better job at filling in the acquisition (camera and lenses) info about a particular motion picture production (esp. older movies) that imdb may have left out or not been savvy to. 'Shotonwhat' has input from crew members….. https://magazine.shotonwhat.com/category/shotonwhat/ |

The DVB announced that 1080p will be allowed for UHD-1 Phase 2 and it sounds like some broadcasters are planning to use it.
Dolby Vision is one of the optional HDR formats for Ultra HD Blu-ray and while I generally dislike proprietary formats it would be a better choice than HDR10. Hopefully most of the studios that release titles on Ultra HD Blu-ray will use Dolby Vision. |

![]() Seriously, that’s good to hear ![]() But what I was proposing to any industrious academic (ex. EPFL - http://infoscience.epfl.ch/record/20...es/article.pdf ) ), or even company types who may be reading is to either shoot the imagery themselves, or acquire from a 3rd party, some ungraded content, especially that which leverages a wide dynamic range (e.g. https://hdr-2014.hdm-stuttgart.de/), in fact, come to think of it, the ungraded source material is available from the Stuttgart folk if one asks, and send one ungraded file off to someone to be graded in Dolby Vision ….send another copy (same ungraded imagery) out to a different (experienced) contractor (financially independent from Dolby) to have graded in HDR10 (10bit with static metadata) and run the final mastered content side-by-side in consumer flat panels that are capable of displaying the material. In other words, prove the value (or not) of one solution over the other in a more scientific shootout so that all eyes can see and believe. Then let the echo chamber of the videophile internet take over to champion the superior method. Anyway, we hope to hear thee impressions from your Friday (next) gathering. ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() But ![]() 1. a sporting activity ![]() 2. augmented with a planned Dolby Vision grade. With regards to the former(1), attention Adrian, and the later(2), attention mike, take one 325mg tab of Aspirin right now (unless otherwise clinically contraindicated) and have your phones ready to call 911 if you feel any funny symptoms coming on as it helps to prevent blood from clotting. eriaur, I’ve always been fond of this commercial from Brain Farm’s portfolio of work…..must be me with the color black….http://brainfarmcinema.com/portfolio...rd-back-black/ |
