I was just assuming that since my blufans lenticular Oz fit nicely in the one kimchi case I had, that almost everything would. But my 10 kimchi cases came today with my Frozen order and the Frozen lenticular is a pretty tight fit, opened. Not sure if a sealed one would fit at all. And my bestbuy Snow White and sleeping beauty with full slips are even tighter fits. Not sure if I want to leave them in or not since it's so tight.

Default Steelbook Cental Protective Sleeves Review

I did a review on 3 Types of Protective Sleeves from Steelbook central

the 3 types are
SC1 - this sleeve is open at both ends (spine and gripping area to opened steelbook)
SC2 - the normal sleeve
SCf1 - fully inclosed sleeve

Written review can be found here - http://www.soreelflix.com/movie-news...lbook-sleeves/

Here is the Video in-which A Ninja demonstrates and performs tests on the sleeves midway
also promo code is inside the vid as well to save %10 for all soreelflix readers

Just received my cases from video game box protectors. Can't say I'm too impressed.... I haven't been able to get a single one to stay closed from either end. They just keep popping open. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
I may just have to stick with my blu steel shell slipcovers.

Just received the videogameprotectors sleeves and they work great for me. I've done about ten of mine (some with full j-cards) and they work fine. Don't know about sealed ones or Kimchi releases, but the regular steelbooks and metalpaks with j-cards fit nice. I have a zavvi Team America with the thicker j-card and it works perfectly. The ends stay sealed too.

If you're having problems with the ends staying sealed, bend the flaps over in the right direction and crease down all the way and do the same with the little end flaps as well. Then, when you assemble it, you'll hear the flaps click into place if you've done it right and it won't pop open at all.

I really like these a lot because the flaps are on the top and bottom as opposed to the others with the flaps on the long side. Just make sure the long side where the case is glued is on the opposite side of the spine and you're good to go. I'll be getting more of these for sure.

Thanks quickdraw! That made all the difference. I suppose it's easy to get impatient, trying to put them all together at once

I recall somebody asking about shipping to Canada, so I thought I would report that shipping from VideoGameBoxProtectors is a good experience: pretty fast and relatively inexpensive. I ordered ten cases and shipping was $5.

The cases fit my steelbooks well, as other people have posted - I'll be ordering more for sure.

I also found that they fit the standard Criterion BluRay cases quite well!

these are the ones that we've been discussing lately (Playstation PS3 & PS4 cases). There are pics posted in previous posts ^^^^. You can fit an opened standard SB with J-card in them just fine. They aren't sloppy fitting nor tight and slide in without binding.

just got my 100 from videogameprotectors fit pretty nicely for the price!

the only ones that didn't fit were
1) SB that that came with J-card slots i.e. Jungle Book and Dick Tracy
2) SB with slipcovers i.e Sleeping Beauty
anyone know any that fit the above well?

Also wondering if the SNES boxes are good for jumbo ones. I don't have an SNES box on hand so not quite sure the actual dimensions but the width looks like it would work, but height might have extra space

I think Steelshells are perfect for open steels. On the left is the unfolded Steelshell. You can see the two tabs on the left, and the little half circle missing from the right is so you can get your fingers in to slip your steel out for watching/pictures.

The right shows the edge after it's all folded up. This leaves the front and back completely unobstructed by tabs

So then your steelbook* will look like this in the case:

*actual steelbook may vary

Hello. I'm new to steelbook protecting and I have a question.

I just received my first 3 Ghibli Blurays (Japan version - not steelbook) and they came in bags.
you can see the bag in this video (at 2.45'')

Is there something similar for steelbooks?
I'd prefer it over those boxes i see..

edit:
I found these:
http://www.amazon.com/Plastic-Standard-14mm-Case-Wrap/dp/B004BLYJ6A/ref=pd_sim_e_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=087X8V93BSTSN93TZFNY

from this video:

but i'm not sure if steelbooks with cardboard j-cards (like the Dick tracy and Nightmare Before Christmas zavvi steelbooks) would fit.
